Can Newcastle Beat West Ham Tomorrow?

With Howe and the non-International players back from Dubai and their warm-weather training, we have 10 league games left in which we will try to qualify for European competition for next season.

At the moment, we are 10th in the league, but Newcastle will need to perform well in the final 10 games and get some wins to move up to at least 7th place, which should guarantee Newcastle European football for next season.

Premier League Table 2023-2024

6Aston Villa3319861963
9Man United3215125-150
10West Ham3313119-648

If we are to get European competition it is games like West Ham at home that we must win – let’s hope we can do that tomorrow in the early kickoff game and get an excellent start to the 10-game run-in to the league.

If people don’t think there will be a full investigation by the hierarchy into our injuries and the management of those injuries, then I think they are very naive.

Ahh what’s up the Bard, are you still hurting a wee bit as naughty Fenham had the audacity to point out that you were very slyly poking fun at JohnJ and tried to sugarcoat it as just banter. lol

I also rightly pointed out that you’ve come on here many many times in support of the filthy creepy troll. Even one day suggesting that JohnJ was out of order for having a go back at the troll…Only you, Munster and lesh have supported this freak and that needed questioning and highlighting which I did, which you’ve clearly took offence at lol…It shows me that you lot are void of integrity also.

Now lock yourself away in a dark room for a few days and scribble a nursery rhyme as that’s all you can do clearly…

Just one last thing Columbo Style… you have targeted JohnJ and Auld Bill as has the troll. Funny that… 😉

Yes as a professionally run club I’d fully expect owners to hold a season review covering everything just as I hoped they did last

Beyond that I am sure each level of the club will being do the same anyway as a matter of course

Or are you steaming in full of coke again, or will that happen later?

Mags there in no question that our management of injuries needs an examination beyond a routine end of season overview. Of course people will buy the club line, as is their prerogative.

Oh wait hibbitt will accuse me of being a non fan now.

This is the sort of arsehole that I have to deal with.

Meanwhile I’m told to rise above it like some angel.

Some people need to get real.

Fenners how the fk can you talk about integrity when you have used Alts.

I laugh at you a lot because you ain’t the brightest bulb, but trying to be so virtuous is stretching credibility my old fruit.

“I understand, I’ll stop the abusive language ” and then you all just carry on, WTF? Meaningless words when your actions don’t speak as loud as them.
Yes, I’m a lurker, but have probably been on this blog for longer than most of you. Seen spats come and go on a (worryingly) regular basis. Water, duck’s back. But this daily bike is just fecking awful.

Honesty and improvement is what people want.

That’s fair I think. Clearly there was an issue with the head physio and there may be other issues too.

The main issue now is to get more serviceable players and build the squad.

Best wishes to Ed and the family with his health issues. Thanks for providing a great blog over the years.

Cautiously confident of 3 points tomorrow.

Think Gordon will be an england regular soon and toon favourite for few years yet.

Don’t think we will lose Isak or Bruno in the summer despite rumours, still got a lot of deadwood to offload to free up funds for a transfer or two.

Champions league clearly not happening next year and was perhaps a step too far too soon this year despite being very enjoyable, uefa cup or equivalent will do nicely next year if we can.

Tonali should have been one of our best players this year, we missed him badly( even though he hardly played much for us )

Next year will be better(alot imo), this season you couldn’t have planned for really, too many curveballs for a club that was on brink of relegation not so long ago and ended up smashing PSG amongst many other good results this year.

    Crazy season.

    In Eddie I trust

    Solano Slice,
I think the squad depth was fine if not for the injuries, however most PL sides in the CL would not have to go Matt Ritchie or Dummet deep in the case of a crisis, we are also a long way off from having a full team of capable youngsters.

Agreed Dummet and Ritchie wouldn’t/shouldn’t get near any champions league squad, it happened too fast for what we were prepared for.
Good too see Miley come through as a result of the injury ravaged season we had, wonder how long it would take if the injuries didn’t play such a massive role.
Felt sorry forth EA, was looking v promising for him, hopefully gets few games/minutes under his belt for rest of the campaign.

Squad depth wad prob fine we had cover in most positions just not the quality of cover of a seasoned CL squad, which will come in time.

I don’t worry about the future, it won’t be anywhere near as bad as the past few years ( Mike Ashley ) just might take big of time to come to fruition

Hope also making sure that this isn’t all swept away like some seem to think. The rate of injuries, the training, the recovery, diagnosis and how our players when recovered, get put straight into first team (not u21) action. As I said last week, the injury reoccurrence rate is bloody high. ” a big enough body of evidence” exists.

This will happen again, perhaps to a lesser degree, next season , if we don’t coldly analyse it, and also get Eddie as many strong footballing athletes as possible

OK, enough from me. Beeb accused by some arsehooles of pulling the blog down, but not enough football contributions are coming in.

Over to you boys, I’ve said enough tonite.

Big fan of Jarrod Bowen, sorry we didn’t sign him when we had the chance, he would be one of my main targets in summer if we could get him as replacement or competition to miggy. He definitely starts ahead of miggy imo bit I’d still keep miggy in squad for his work rate.
How much would Bowen cost now though 60-70

    is footy back yet? 😉
Ready to get this last run in and hopefully make a go of it. If not…hopefully able to get some of the young ones some game time and look ahead.
Regarding the Tonali news I really think if they do add anything they truly are trying anything to derail our rise up. His agent is saying that it is nothing new but just the fact that he also fessed up to the FA and it is all the same stuff as before.

Regarding Botman….it is interesting news that he did indeed have a partial tear and tried to make it through. Tough call either way but playing any sport all out with a partial tear is just waiting for it to happen…I guess Botman is a better too 🙂

A lot have pointed out correctly Tonali’s gambling problem IS a medical disorder.
Loads of sites on the internet explain this in detail. He cannot help it he is an addict.
Royal College of Psychiatrists article explain it all.
