    Raj,

I’ll be brief on here as I’m working today (Scottish Project and Scotland don’t recognise today as a BH 🙄 )

I totally agree and appreciate that yesterday’ was a very sad day for the blog (there has been many days like that though not just yesterday). When you have IrishRob/troll / Munster going at it as only they can do, they need put in their box. The disrespect and disgraceful behaviour and content of their posts were highly inappropriate and offensive. If you or Adamn or anyone else who have came on all righteous, from yesterday’s shenanigans. Please take a step back and understand that these vile animals (Troll) have made seriously bad comments towards family members, enough to get arrested over. In a nutshell they need banned, (IrishRob / Troll) but as that’s not the case then they need to be held accountable. Would you like very direct and the worst disgusting words used against your lovely family members? It’s now become very clear who the troll now is, (although not 100% conclusive) why can’t this be pointed out after everything it has done?

I came on yesterday where there was post after post of football chat (go and check) – it was very good, Then IrishRob/Troll started with its tirade of sickening abuse from behind its keyboard. Then the crank from Munster joined in. These people (if you call them that) need put in their place as they have absolutely destroyed this blog and it needs people to stand up to these lowlifes with their strange fixations and agenda’s.

Lastly, I wouldn’t act all innocent on here as if you’ve not been part of spats before on here, you’re in the top 3 surely although been spot on lately and I have absolutely no issue at all with you.

Hopefully the blog can be spat free today as it’s the place to be when there is not, but irelands laurel and hardy and the back handed sly comments from the stalker lesh need to be sorted for that to happen as when it doesn’t people react.

Enjoy the rest of your Easter BH with the family. Have a good one…

My own personal ethos on good blog etiquette is three football related comments, preferably on separate issues. Makes me feel like I have contributed positively.

Not unlike the latest match that could become overshadowed by ‘middle-finger-gate’ in preference to the good performances of Barnes, Isak, Gordon (despite the red card) and indeed Kudus & Bowen.

    Fenham,
You need to stop going on about the troll, it’s as tiring as the troll itself. Just ignore it as most people do, keep your spats with Munster to football related and just forget about lesh. That would also make the blog a better place.

A lot of the popular posters won’t take part anymore for obvious reasons..
Will wait with baited breath for tomorrow’s instalment..

There has been a marked increase in ACL injuries this season throughout the PL, which is probably due in part to the length of injury time, the increased demands of commercial deals and training in general. We have had the extra games from playing in Europe and using a depleted squad to play those additional games.

So I don’t take the following as gospel as the positives out way the negatives, but there is an element of truth and something to be learnt by the club in all departments.

    Comment made elsewhere:-
“Eddie is known for being a fitness freak from his days at Bournemouth. He regularly stated he wanted AFCB to be the ‘fittest’ team in the league. It’s built in to his management style to have his players conditioned to their physical limits. I think he sometimes values player fitness above skill level. Wonderful players were often on the bench or left out the squad entirely, with rumours they weren’t putting in enough hours in the gym to suit his liking.

When it works, you have a team that can press all day and still do sprints in the 10th minute of stoppage time. When it doesn’t work, half your team pop their tendons because they’re not recovering properly or have overbuilt their legs muscles. Callum Wilson did both his ACLs at Bournemouth and he wasn’t the only one.”

    On ACL’s….

As Lascelles on Saturday, they are nearly always caused by awkward twists when tacking or turning ie., nowt to do with over training or lack of pre-match warming up.

Over training causes muscle issues ie., hamstrings, thigh and calf strains – and as I’ve posted before we’ve had no more than what you would expect of these especially given how we have been unable to rotate as EH would have wanted.

Joe Cole’s comment during the match about training potentially causing injuries came from not knowing Lascelles had an ACL or that we’ve also had Botman with an ACL, two out with dislocations, two with back injuries, a freak toe injury and Wilson & Willock with a recurring issues. None the cause of over training.

Add in Tonali and that’s TEN players unavailable that aren’t down to training or the medical team.

As always, don’t let facts get in the way of speculation, bias and blame culture.

    On Barnes…

I posted pre-season after we signed him that IMO our front three would become Gordon, Isak, Barnes with Miggy and Murphy as back ups.

Barnes would have at least equalled Gordon on goals scored and those goals alone could have been worth another 6-9pts – 3 were down to him on Saturday.

That doesn’t take into account what he might have added to the CL and cups.

    And that’s just one player…

How anyone can say injuries haven’t seriously affected Eddie’s performance this season and want him out beggars belief.

Is the increased number of ACL injuries across the PL just a random anomaly then?
Not a lack of recovery between games. That being Lascelles hasn’t played for a while, but he looks to have bulked up even more recently.

    Bill’s,
It has been so frustrating listening to people say he was a waste of money, he’s not what we needed, was second choice to Maddison. His goals and assist record is fantastic, as you say he would have had ten goals and five assists this season, free’s up AG up to go on the right or central and deputises more than ably should AG need a rest.

    Nad…

On ACL’s up this season in the league…

People always look for reasons when it might just be a coincidence.

One season of high ACL’s isn’t statistically relevant, if it keeps at the same level for another two or three season then, IMO, there must be a reason other than coincidence.

I’ve put up several times about where we would be in the injury table without the long term “unusual ” injuries which backs up what you say about injuries.

Thanks for the discord link but, hard as it is at times on here, there is still some good posters on here whose comments I like to read.
I also prefer the format of this blog. Discord is too much like WhatsApp for me so I’m not sure if I’ll ever go over there full time. I may do, although I’m not sure if I want to read about ffp 24/7 😀
