Comment #142Don’t have much interest in winning a Europa Conference League place, although I guess that could change if we do and go on to do well. It almost certainly would compromise our domestic form in pursuit of a fairly unremarkable trophy. It would though help us to come to better terms with combining Europe and domestic ties and fixtures, which needs experience, and also of course would give us an extra shot at that elusive silverware. Maybe they need to change the name. “Conference” kinda sounds like semi pro stuff to an Englishman at least. West Ham really enjoyed their win I know. Maybe I’d come around. Still hoping for Europa League though, but there are four or five clubs right in the mix for that, so it’s going to be tough, especially with our never ending injuries. Still, gotta be happy after a win like that. Incredible! Great football club, for sure.
