Newcastle Beat West Ham 4-3 In An Unbelievable Comeback With 3 Late Goals

Newcastle staged an unbelievable comeback with 3 late goals (in the final 13 minutes of ordinary time) to win the game this afternoon, after being 3-1 down after Bowen scored West Ham’s 3rd goal after 48 minutes.

Newcastle went ahead early in the game with a penalty from Isak, but then two goals from Antonio (21 mins), and Kudus (45+10 mins) made it 2-1 for the Hammers.

And yes – yet again we picked up another injury with Jamaal Lascelles leaving the field after only 15 minutes and it’s unlikely he will be fit enough to play against Everton at home on Tuesday night.

But Eddie Howe has to fix our defense, which was hopeless again today – it will be difficult to win games when we concede 3 goals at home.

The late goals came from Isak (penalty after 77 minutes) and a brilliant brace for substitute Harvey Barnes after 83 minutes and 90 minutes.

How much did we pay for Barnes – he earned his wages today for sure and what a dramatic finish from the lads – it was simply unbelievable.

And Barners’ second goal – the winner – was an unstoppable shot from five yards outside of the penalty area after a pass from Gordon.

Gordon was sent off for a second yellow card after 94 minutes for kicking the ball away and will now miss the game against Everton on Tuesday night.

But there were promising displays from both Elliot Anderson and Lewis Hall when they came on as subs.

Maybe they deserve a start on Tuesday?

In addition to the new injury to Lascelles, we are concerned bout our defense somehow – otherwise, it’s simple – we will not qualify for Europe next season.

And that would be a great pity.

    Still buzzing.
Can’t believe that 2nd half, 100% spirit and desire.
At half time I wanted the season to end, what do I know.

Can we even field a starting 11 on Tuesday? Glad it’s at home.

Waiting for the know-it-all crowd to be back soon with their explanation as to why our management still needs to be replaced. Becoming difficult to live through the toxicity they’ve been spewing relentlessly.

Good day young fella, i trust you and the family are all having a lovely Easter mate.

No offence mate, but my policy in life has always been not to ostracize any fellow human being or discriminate against them irrespective of the colour of their skin, or religious affiliation!! I strictly adhere to these rules on this blog mate, so i`m very happy to engage with anyone on the blog irrespective if it`s
Toon Irish, Fat B, Lesh etc etc.

But i don`t think this will come as a surprise to you mate.

Enough of that, it`s a time to be happy after that exhilarating match we have just witnessed today.

    Up the Toon

    Magic

I share your philosophy but there is one poster who I’ve learned it’s not right to engage with

Not going to jump.on the bandwagon of hate though simply ignore

Pubs in the Toon will be celebrating the change in fortune

Far better to have some Hammers drowning their sorrows than a few NUFC ones as most probably would have headed home if we hadn’t turned it round

As it is Toon will now be jumping 🙂

Just looking at the wee table in front of us even if we win our next few games every team above us is 4 points above each h victory, providing they lose a? their upcoming games, which will mean, alas, it’s probably gonna be a heart curdling end to our season HOWAY THE LADS in true Newcastle fashion .
