Newcastle Team Announced For Everton Test – Anderson, Krafth, Hall And Barnes Start

Eddie Howe has just announced the Newcastle team to play at St. James’ Park tonight against Everton – it’s a game we should win – but you never know with Newcastle.

Krafth starts at right-back, with Livramento and Trippier out, and it’s good to see Lewis Hall get a start at left-back after his excellent play against West Ham.

Hero Harvey Barnes starts up front – as expected – and let’s hope he can score more goals for us tonight.

Almost 75% of our readers think we will win this game – so if we don’t get all 3 points it will be a huge disappointment.

Dummett did not make a “mistake” – it was more than a mistake it was a full blown wrestling hold with him doing a body throw on Young.

He didn’t even have the brains to hide/disguise it.

Our transfer window will be messed up because of injuries to Botman and Lascelles and Targett and releasing Dummett which means we will need to sign atleast 2 CB and 1 LB. Also we will need a new GK.

And we also need a DM and CF. But where will the club prioritise and how much money will we have

I wanted Phillips. There is/was a very good holding midfielder waiting to rekindle his career! I accepted the club’s decision on him. I can own up to that gladly on the anniversary of my visit to St James’s Park with my son and grandson.

    snowdone,
I wanted Danny Van DeBeek, he’s been an unmitigated disaster of a PL player. All clubs make bad signings it’s part and parcel of the game. Someone said the other day that Lpool never make bad signings under Klopp, what about Keita, ÂŁ50M or Alcantra, Oxlade Chamberlain, so far our transfer dealings have been excellent, I know 100% there are people on this blog rubbing their hands together in anticipation of us dropping our first bollik in the transfer market.

I fully accept the point you make in the first part of you`re post in relation to Alex Murphy mate, but equally he is a starter in Irelands under 21 team, but the lad only made his debut on the 14th of March this year, once he makes his full senior appearance for Newcastle he will be drafted into the full Irish squad much like Liam Scales who went from Shamrock Rovers to Celtic and is now a regular at Celtic mate.

Sorry but if the thinking is someone needs to play for the under 21 on an international stage to be premier league player then Lewis Miley is fcuked.

Jimiley , re Phillips, if we wanted him or not.
Listening to Craig Hope the other day.
He was saying Eddie wasn’t that keen.
He had serious doubts about his match fitness and his fitness in general.
So we can choose to believe that or the rumours or the peoples opinions on here.
Me I think both Eddie and Craig Hope have more insight than me and others on this blog.
If you look at Eddie’s bingo , perhaps I’ve more insight.
That was a joke by the way.
Let’s move on to Fulham now.

Could only half listen to the game last night but have been able to see the extended highlights and they only confirmed my impression o the game.

The starting 11 were good and should have had the game won by the early second half. Pickford (love him or hate him) kept them in the game and we again didn’t take some very good chances.

Was it a mistake putting Dummett on, well given what happened , yes. But how can that be predicted, Eddie had confidence enough to play him and it should have been OK, more bad luck?

The team for Saturday is probably going to be a very similar starting 11 but with the welcome return of AG. So we should again be good enough to win, but with the bad luck dogging us, who knows.

I think that Eddie has to be a tad braver in his subs and be prepared to give young Murphy a chance rather than Dummett, although he has always been a solid enough defender but as Craig Hope said he didn’t look very confident and a tad fearful, doubt if that would apply to Murphy.

Anyway here’s hoping we’ll have the post WH vibes on Saturday and not last nights.

    Right that’s my twp pennorth.

Pep thought he was good enough at Leeds to pay ÂŁ40 m for him,
and then never played him ,
if Leeds win promotion i can see a cut price deal back to Leeds from Mam city happening !!

    How`s the form mate,

You make an excellent point, i mean how much International experience did a young 16 year old Wayne Rooney have when he made his debut for Everton v Arsenal, that day he scored a wonder goal and finished up man of the match. You know the rest.

    Was at game last night.
Something you may not have noticed on TV.
When Burn scored ( disallowed goal ).
Everton were done. You could tell from the body language of their players as they walked back.
It was like here we go again. We’ll never manage to score 2.
Having it chalked off was like a goal for them if that makes any sense.
