Poll – Who Was Newcastle’s Best Player Against Everton?

Let us know who you think Newcastle’s player last night against Everton at home.

It was a really disappointing result and means Everton have taken 4 points of Newcastle this season.

🙁

Next up is a game at Fulham on Saturday and we again need to win that game – if we are to challenge for a European place next season.

    Complaints time!

We still haven’t figured out how to retain the ball with throw ins.

Strategy: Run around until you’re free from an opponent. Don’t stand around he’ll mark you. If it’s not working, bring near one more player. If he’s marked as well bring in another. Repeat until they have to bring near their keeper. Bring ours near too, if you must!

Like Snow said in another comment, it’s not rocket science!

Lesh’s last post – another good example (as if you didn’t need one) of him just posting shite just to cause trouble. He’s always goading/abusing people.
If you support that C and lick his arse – then you are just as bad.

    Morning,

If you look at the injuries we had last season to this season then you have to put a major reason for this is down to the higher amount of games we played in because of Europe and how demanding they were because of the opposition. As the injuries started mounting the tougher it got and was like your typical knock on effect…

One of the main catalyst has to be HB injury, Tonali ban this was 2 players we’d had earmarked for 2 crucial positions which desperately needed strengthening., then not forgetting the way Eddie (a) High levels demanded in training (b) Demands such a high intensity performance from his team. With the midweek games (as mentioned) Eddie’s demands for effort and the ban to Tonali and the freak Barnes injury was the catalyst to the crazy amount of injuries we’ve suffered in this one off season which at times you do get the feeling it just can’t finish quick enough. Eddie says you make your own luck, I get that but the terrible luck we’ve had this season has been off the charts and baffling at times.

Oops forgot to add -Lesh – you know f*** all about football and music. When I first posted about “Playing for Change” on here you tried to say it was you who introduced the blog to this musical concept.
I even recall having to post a link and explain the concept of how the musicians worldwide actually assembled their songs as you didn’t know.

    Now FO you leftoid twat.

Why don’t you all just ignore lesh if he winds you up so much, the truth is you enjoy goading him as much as he does you, the simple solution would be to ignore each other and cut out the political BS and personal insults that invariably go hand in hand with your posts to each other.

    beermonkey,
I can understand the PL passing it to keep the best players here but not sure what’s in it for UEFA, I’m not getting excited about it until it’s officially announced.

i dont think they will pass it but there will be changes when man u cant spend due to ffp there is an issue
also to keep the best league in the world you need top players and managers,

i think we have enough to spend this summer we have extra income from champs league new shirt deal and a couple of other bits they have done

losing botman may have a massive say on who we sign

    Cyprus
    Run around
That is one of our problems after we have passed the ball we tend to stand still and not look for one-twos or find space. Longstaff at the moment is one of the biggest culprits –
Also our wingers mainly Almiron instead if pressing on the last full back for through ball ball down the line tends to stop and run back towards our goal to get the ball

    beermonkey,
Unfortunately it’s the UEFA rules that club’s will have to comply with and they want Man U, Chelsea and Lpool along with Barca, RM, Juve, AC and Bayern in that CL, they’re the ones that bring in the 100 of millions subscribers worldwide. I know of a few Lpool fans who cancelled their TNT package because they weren’t prepared to pay for the Europa league, imagine that multiplied throughout Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore and China, it costs them money, they will bend the rules to suit those clubs unfortunately.

It’s not fair but I think we’d be fine under the turnover/ratio rules once a new stadium is built, PiF have enough clout to persuade 50 Saudi multi millionaires to buy a box @£1M a season, the Saudi owner of that yacht we visited in the south of France worth €28M, the old one was given to a business associate to facilitate deals. I’m sure there’d be enough of them to fork out £1M a year if it brought them £5M+ in business courtesy of PiF.

    Fenham, on injuries…

Barnes had hardly started and got a freak toe injury c6 games into the season.

That can’t be put down to our being in 4 comps or fatigue etc.

I’ve posted previously that our muscle injuries, the type you get with overtraining or playing when fatigued, are no more than normal for a season.

It’s two dislocations, two backs, a toe, two ACL’s, Wilson and Willock’s carry over issues from last season and Tonali’s suspension that have caused the havoc.

That’s 10 players whose injuries can’t really be blamed on overtraining or the medical staff.

We really have just been very very unlucky and the odds of it happening next season or any other season are minimal.

Looney Lesh – I posted a video in which for you, all about how one of the founders of PFC Mark Johnson and how they actually syncronised their music together as you had posted that you did not know how they did it.

    Here it is again.

    Charlie…

One of the biggest culprits in slowing down play is Dubs.

He takes an age to pass the ball, taking 4,5,6 touches when the obvious pass is on in one.

The difference with Pickford the other night couldn’t have been more obvious.

Pickford hardly ever took more than one touch before passing it short or pinging long balls straight to his players. Pickford set up attacks, Dubs fannying on allowed our defenders to be closed down and making backwards, sideways or punts forwards.

Seriously, if the goalkeepers had been reversed Everton would have struggled to get in our half.

Lesh your memory is clearly playing tricks on you . I think you should ask your psychiatrist for some more electric shock treatment.

If you do not want to go through that again, I could send you a mains plug with a length of bare wire attached, for you to hold. That should do the job fine.

    Bill’s,
A GK is on equal priority along with CB and forward in the summer, whether it’s to compete with Pope or replace him is up to the hierarchy and Pope to decide. No point in bringing in a promised starter only for Pope to want away. That Ortega at City apparently wants away to be a No 1, would Pope be happy to play in the cups and conference league. I’m not sure how likely Pope’s shoulder is to go again after doing it twice now but we simply can’t take the risk of it happening and Dubs coming back in if this is the effect it has on our results.

    Good Morning Everyone

An update from Adam Pearson from his overly optimistic link yesterday in regards to FFP, it looks like it might not be so simplistic after all unfortunately.

    Eddie Howe on Dan Burn:

“It’s difficult for any player to get criticism. I’m really pleased for him because we should be celebrating players like Dan. We should be saying how good he is and how well he’s done for this football club. I believe with every fibre I have that he’s been incredible.”

    Magic

Definitely not simple but change will come.

The relaxation of 3rd party sponsors will also come up again and hopefully will be voted for. This could be even more important to us.

Nothing to gain any traction until closer to the annual meeting this summer.

    Fingers crossed

    Morning mate,

Let`s hope we get a bit of wriggle room with these new rules Mund, as these present rules are clearly not fit for purpose, not just for Newcastle but to most teams in the premier league. To be honest i don`t fully understand all the complexities of FFP mate.
