Match Cam Video – Newcastle 5 Sheffield United 1

Here is the Match Cam – behind-the-scenes – video,  of our terrific 5-1 win on Saturday at home to Sheffield United.

The win gives us a decent chance of finishing 6th in the Premier League this season and finishing with European football next season.

That’s our goal in the final 4 games of the season.

These videos are always good to watch – especially when we win.

🙂

I’d like 6 top class signings personally but expect atleast 4 for definite.

    GK
    LB
    DM
    CF
    2 x CBs

    Thats what we need

Emery is replicating what Eddie did with Newcastle but 1 year behind.

Lets see what Villa do next season and if they win conference cup

We have to get every signing right thats why I say proven players. If we get signings wrong we could fall further behind to Liverpool Arsenal Man City even Villa etc

No, we don’t need your first 3 slots. There is no need for GK,LB,DM, we have everybody necessary there. IMO

Forgot about Matt Targett. Should sell or loan him out.

    That’s 5 positions there now

You don’t want a GK to be as good or better than Pope? Whose absence is making a huge difference?

Hall isnt ready to be main starter and Targett is finished. No more Burn LB. So Grimaldo or Dimarco is a must. Wouldnt mind Spinazzola on a free transfer.
    Probably be lloyd kelly though

re midfield, Bruno/the Mighty Joe/Tonali will do for me until and unless a creative one, better than Bruno (you must be kidding\) turns up

Lloyd Kelly can join in any time he likes, but his position isn’t a great worry to me. I think it is very rash of you to claim Targett is finished, although I have no information one way or the other, you may be spouting rubbish or may have some insight I don’t have – you could kindly let me know how the wind blows on that one. How old is the lad?

Oh, now you’re showing yourself up, mate “Tonali is shit”.There you would need evidence, which is non-existent, to back this up as anything other that a crude attempt to draw attention to yourself. I know you have interesting and relevant football opinions, no need for such clangers,

and I can answer my own Q, Targett is 28, so not one for the future but no reflection on his current abilities.

After bad hamstring injury he has another bad foot injury. Last season he missed a lot through injury. Targett is finished as a player for a team who wants regular top 4

I agree we have yet to see how Tonali works out, but that is a very different thing from saying he is shit. I also agree Targett’s injuries are a weakness, but again this is not the same at all as saying he’s finished. Perhaps you are rushing to conclusions a little rashly? Only a possibility, mate.

My CF for next season: Isak and Wilson. Yes, we will need a third, but these are already here/goals are no problem/no outlay involved. They may be made of glass, I agree, hence a 3rd needed. Ferguson?

Brighton will not sell Ferguson for atleast 2 more seasons.

At this moment in time to me Tonali is shit until he proves me wrong like Anthony Gordon who has proven this season he is top class player.

Targett has hardly played for 2 seasons no way we are relying on him next season.

My feeling is Eddie will go for kelly and solanke. Wouldnt mind Toney or Tammy Abraham. Might go for Tomori.

Apart from that not sure who else they are looking at.

Who can tell me why the same defence, best in the world last season, was so porous (before injuries) this season. There has to be a reason. All I can think of is our lack of place got exposed by lobbing balls over our midfield and it took a season for opponents to work this out. Any advance?

I think we have shipped goals because we’ve relied too much on too few this season, due to injury and suspension, and basically played tired, instead of full throttle and up and at em, never giving the opposition a chance to get on the ball. We ended up playing a lower block, while still trying to win the ball back early. The games were stretched, and while we still scored plenty we conceded plenty too. We’ve been a bit better since we got Anderson and Willock back, and Isak in great form, along with Gordon and Barnes back to fitness. We need Tonali and Joel back, in there alongside Bruno, with Sean, Willock, Anderson, and Miley all pushing them, and then you’ll see us conceding fewer.

Aye, there was much debate whether Shearers showed non televised matches, I didn’t know because the only time I’m ever in there on matchdays I’ve got a ticket so have no idea whether or not they continue to show the match. So I rang them up and got hold of the manager, they definitely do show it as a live feed from the stadium. You can’t book a table and you can’t be guaranteed entry nearer to KO, however he reckons if you get there around 12 you’ll get a table or two and a good view of a screen. There’s also the Fulham vs Man City at 12:30 to watch as a bit of a distraction , I’ll be in there well before 12 as me and NY Mag have to shoot off just after 12 and will be back after the game as will everyone else with a ticket. Look forward to seeing you all.

We were keeping sh!t loads of clean sheets right up until Pope got injured, in fact I think the most in the league. I’m tired of debating whether or not that’s a coincidence, it’s clearly an opinion rather than FACT so can’t be proved either way. I’m just going off the scorelines with and without.
