Eddie Howe was interviewed after the game by nufcTV and he was his usual calm matter-of-fact self – as Howe is after all games – win lose or draw.
Very much like Rafa Benitez after games.
Howe admitted that the first 10 minutes at Turf Moor was tough going, but the defense was solid, and after that, Howe thought Newcastle performed really well.

You never had the courage of your conviction to ask for him to be replaced as you knew how ridiculous it would sound, you weren’t prepared to to make that statement so just went out of your way to convince everyone he was a wrong un. However, Rh did state his preference for Snagglesman and that’s why I asked the question, yes it was a bit of a dig but the response was way ott as are a number of folks response to a bit of leg pulling or disagreements.

I’d love to come mate. I have Thai boxing on Saturdays 10-12 so wouldn’t be there until later.
Is it from 11:30 in shearers? Are some going to the match and some watching in there?

It’s worked out perfectly with Shearers showing the game, Aye, a few have tickets and others don’t. People will be meeting there for about 12-ish, the earlier the better to try and get a couple of tables.

I’m not going to humour you as you are clearly bored.
Go for a jog or something and stop trying to stir a fight. Both myself and RH laughed at your nonsense as it was clearly looking for a row or just being weird again.

I was calling out your hypocrisy “great subs Eddie”
There was nothing great about the subs at all, they were bog standard run of the mill subs expected when 0-4 up, in fact one of the subs shocking back pass led to us conceding. The only reason you said ‘great subs Eddie’ was to justify your scathing criticism should we get beat off Man U, totally insincere and as transparent as glass.

Comment #97Noticed on MOTD that neutral pundit Ian Wright was again using the royal ‘we’ when talking about Arsenal.
I get that. The guy was Mr. Arsenal.
Maybe the BBC should just say up front which team each presenter represents and be done with it. The chances of having a neutral presenter is nil.Worst culprit is smirkey Lineaker.

I do find it astonishing how and why you take such pride and pleasure in constantly displaying your ignorance.
I’m not sure what your childish fascination over Naglesman is, calling him snagglesman, how lame is that? Yet for some reason you seem to want to reference him all the time. If I mentioned Naglesman once, it’s more than I can really remember and it was in the context of a future manager possibly down the line. If you can actually find one post that clearly states I want Naglesman here right now over Howe then fair play.
If alternatively you repeatedly snap out these pithy comments to get a rise then that again says a lot more about you, don’t you think? Ooh look aren’t I amazing, I wound up RH and Munster. Think I grew out of that behaviour when I was 14. It’s funny when you try to take the p-ss, you call it ”leg pulling” but whenever I’m not insulting you but describing you, you play the victim saying it’s OTT. Classic narcissist.

Absolute pair spoiled kids slating the manager because you weren’t getting your own way. Your arrogance is astonishing Rh “this defeat isn’t on Howe because that’s the line up I wanted” who the foo# do you think you are, the manager isn’t at fault because that’s the line up you’d have chosen ergo had he not of chosen that particular line up and lost it would be his fault. You should apply for the job with all your coaching badges.

Comment #104RH, apart from today’s efforts at trying to start a fight, Jails next effort will be when we hopefully get 6th with some classic Jail ” I told u so” carry on, sprinkled with a few mistruths like u asking for Naglesmam to replace Eddie, or the classic ” Munster said the Sociedad chairman saw us coming and was rubbing his hands in glee” . He’s trotted this out loads of times and I never said any such thing. Not even nearly!!
He’s probably back at the shop now lecturing the owner about the 5p as we speak.

Comment #105I still feel it was a bit weird the gaffa not changing the system when he just constantly stuck with Longstaff, Bruno and Miley who were really struggling.
And over past month he’s been forced to play Hall due to injuries who has looked good and BDB left CB who has been superb.
Seemed to get entrenched in his 433 turn of the year. And it cost us a few points. He is not beyond criticism our superb leader.
So chill a bit.

Comment #107I wonder how the lot who shot shite at Eddie and the players throughout this season will feel if we finish 5th or 6th…?
I hope they feel stupid…
I hope the feel ashamed they never kept the faith…
The same lot who didn’t want to accept injuries were a major problem for the team this season and would rather point the finger at Eddie for not having tactical nous or not having plan B’s or having favourites… basically anything they could throw at the great man. Pathetic
Eddie has shown those negaholics right up and fantastic to see as they are all trying to back track but it’s all there in black and white

Comment #110I have just watched the highlights on MOTD. I thought we did well after the first 20 minute’s. Both full backs played well and Bruno was everywhere. My MOM was Jacob Murphy, I think he gets a raw deal of fans at times, but definitely is worth keeping around.

I don’t think Longstaff will go either but I hope we shift a couple of goalies , Miggy, and a couple of oldies.

Comment #118It also so annoying to listen to the commentators go on about Chelsea not having a team to put out with all their injuries. I didn’t hear too many of them say that about us when we had all the injuries. I did make me laugh when the guy commentating on our game yesterday say, that’s the difference, Newcastle can bring on Joelinton and Almiron that’s the depth in their squad.

Hope you’re well mate…
Agreed nobody is above criticism and Eddie is human and therefore prone to human error. Nobody is perfect, however those of us who become very good at our job(s) do it by learning from your mistakes. Eddie has made errors of course he has but IMO he has learned from them as he is a very intelligent man and IMO in time has the potential to be thee best manager from these shores anyway. That’s because of his age, ability and rise with us.
What I don’t get though was a few on here were calling out Eddie but going OTT with their assertions and it came across as if they were enjoying it. We hit a bad spell which was always going to happen and 1 or 2 from here really upped their agenda(s) against the man. In Eddie Howe, let’s put it this way, could Klopp or Arteta or even Pep have held their heads on the back of the injury crisis as Eddie did? Not a chance as they’re all the same type of characters to have gone overly emotional, passionate which wouldn’t have helped the squad mentality. Eddie was amazing the way he kept his head and worked with what he had and just got in with the job in the most professional of manners. Some of the Eddie baiters never once reflected on this. I’m happy our owners more than anyone know just what type of manager they have in Eddie Howe. We’re all lucky to have him at the helm, the man will most definitely deliver us to greatness.

Words were coming out and before any injuries that Hall had made vast improvements in training and was well in a shout for featuring and the rest is history.
Gordon wasn’t ready last season but look at him now. Playing Hall during that period could of been detrimental with his development and I trust Eddie completely on his decisions regarding any player
