In what was our final home game of the season, there was every incentive for the lads to go out with a win against Brighton, but we couldn’t manage it.
In fact Brighton went ahead with a goal from Veltman after just 18 minutes, but Sean Longstaff scored his second goal in two games in stoppage time in the first half with a good assist from Anderson.
Although we tried to win the game, we were let down in the final third of the pitch and couldn’t get the goal that would have given us the win – that we sorely needed.
Having Callum Wilson in the squad would have helped, but he wasn’t available.
Chelsea came from behind to beat Nottingham Forest 3-2 away in the late game, and so are on level points with Newcastle but we have a better goal difference with just 2 games to play.
If Manchester United can beat Arsenal at Old Trafford this afternoon they will join Newcastle and Chelsea on 57 points, but of the 3 teams, we have the best goal difference.
What do you think?

Comment #3Indeed the result made our life a bit more difficult. Nerves were clearly weighing on several of our players against Brighton. Hope we maintain our composure and our right wing functions a lot better vs ManU.
