Manchester United Lose – Things Looking Better For Newcastle

Arsenal managed to keep up their title challenge this afternoon with a narrow 1-0 win over Manchester United at Old Trafford and they did Newcastle a favor today.

It means that Manchester United remain 3 points behind Newcastle with a worse goal difference.

Premier League Table 2023-2024

PositionTeamPlayedWonLostDrawnGDPoints
5Tottenham38201261366
6Chelsea38181191463
7Newcastle38181462360
8Man United3818146-160
9West Ham38141310-1452

That means even if we lose at Old Trafford on Wednesday night we will still be above the Old Trafford side on goal difference.

The real threat now is Chelsea who have found some good form recently.

Manchester United play Newcastle at home on Wednesday night then Brighton away next Sunday.

Chelsea play at Brighton on Wednesday night and then at home to Bournemouth next Sunday.

Newcastle play Manchester United at Old Trafford on Wednesday and then we are way at Brentford next Sunday.

So there you have it – it will be important that we don’t lose at Old Trafford, but two wins will clinch 6th place and European Football for Newcastle next season.

Howay the Lads!!

    JohnJ,

Was great to meet you finally. I’m 5ft 10” mate so not lanky, no a short fella just in between mate 😉

It was difficult to chat in that bar as it’s noisy I think you were struggling to hear people. Aye it was a pleasure to meet you and I got your card “Irish, Contemporary & Traditional music Folk music” – That’s me mams music and my missus although in her mid 30s loves folk music through her Grandad. So we may pop in and see one of your shows mate 😉

Last day of season could be fun/edge of seats
Can see Spuds drawing with Shitty
    Mean title race
Both teams equal with goal difference of 1 better for Arsenal
    Arsenal v Everton
    City v West Ham

And us got to beat Man Utd

But can see Man Utd beating us
    Brighton beating Chelsea

Would mean all three teams on equal points
    With
    Brentford v Newcastle United
    Chelsea v Bournemouth
    Brighton v Man Utd

    Edge of seeeeeeet time!

About 38 hearts for his comment. And the heart machine man wasn’t there, so work it out Huckleberry.

But even if there wasn’t agreement ( which there was ) the whole experience was more enjoyable.

As Rob said, plenty of the troublemakers were at the match. I can think of two, with another selling strawberries.

Krafth is sound, but we’ve surely missed Schar’s distribution and the way he brings it out. He’s had a great season, and is I think without doubt our best option at rcb.

Loch to be fair we need to give up on 5th. After yesterday 6th might be hard enough. Once we get some form of Europe though, it will be great. I can see Brighton stinging Chelsea, and I don’t think we’ll lose to Man U

Munster if you need to reach out to someone for help please call this number: 0300 123 3393 – You can reach them from Ireland too, they may be able to help in some way
