Manchester United Lose – Things Looking Better For Newcastle

Arsenal managed to keep up their title challenge this afternoon with a narrow 1-0 win over Manchester United at Old Trafford and they did Newcastle a favor today.

It means that Manchester United remain 3 points behind Newcastle with a worse goal difference.

Premier League Table 2023-2024

PositionTeamPlayedWonLostDrawnGDPoints
5Tottenham38201261366
6Chelsea38181191463
7Newcastle38181462360
8Man United3818146-160
9West Ham38141310-1452

That means even if we lose at Old Trafford on Wednesday night we will still be above the Old Trafford side on goal difference.

The real threat now is Chelsea who have found some good form recently.

Manchester United play Newcastle at home on Wednesday night then Brighton away next Sunday.

Chelsea play at Brighton on Wednesday night and then at home to Bournemouth next Sunday.

Newcastle play Manchester United at Old Trafford on Wednesday and then we are way at Brentford next Sunday.

So there you have it – it will be important that we don’t lose at Old Trafford, but two wins will clinch 6th place and European Football for Newcastle next season.

Howay the Lads!!

    Munster,

I will ask you for a definitive answer, where did the word CRACK originate?

Was it Ireland or Northern England?

If it was Ireland I will call it “craic”,but as you know that is not true you won’t answer!

    Adamn,

The next blog meet you must make an appearance mate.

Also Norwich only managed a 0-0 at home to Leeds which I was gutted about as I worked in Lowestoft on an Oil & Gas Onshore Project and I used to go into Norwich a lot and went to a few games so have a soft spot for Norwich. Hopefully they can do the business at Elland Td but itā€™s a big ask unfortunately.

Aye, now pubs have sorted their Guinness out here I can’t say I’ve got much to complain about.

    Fenham

It’ll be tricky for Norwich for sure, just hoping they can get the job done as even if I don’t get a ticket, it’s always nice seeing toon fans walking around the city.

Great to meet team Ed. at Shearers.
Bit disjointed from my side as no time to chat as kidnapped Carltoon to sort a ticket for her. That was a digital nightmare and the club site was down for a while, emails confirming the ticket details didn’t materialise, so we ended up queuing in the Ticket Office which needs a massive upgrade to get a printed ticket sorted for The Queen. What an honour to be in the company of greatness !
The plastic ST card was way easier. Hand if over, on ground, job done.

Fenham I think you misconstrue a lot. Deliberately.

I’ve no great time for you army boys. I’ve met a few, lamped one , and took the piss out of the rest. It’s an Irish thing. If you or Flurz don’t like it, I suggest it’s your own arrogance flooding through.

I also offered to meet you for a pint in Dublin , if you ever come over. Again, it was politely declined.

If you are stupid enough to think I have an issue with English people , then you are probably as dim as I’ve always said.

Don’t get all tough with me because of your own stupidity or arrogance. Nothing to do with me.

Sounds like the blog meet went with a bang yesterday, pity i couldn`t make it, gutted.
I ended up watching the game on the sofa and was so frustrated at how many times we wasted possession and didn`t make the most of potential goal scoring chances.
Manure losing eases the pressure a tad but we must make sure we pick up at least 4 points, preferably 6 in our last two games.

A wholehearted thank you to the fellow posters who referred to my absence yesterday, it is much appreciated, and i hope none of you ever suffer from Sciatica, i missed a cracking day because of it.

What has come across this evening and itā€™s blindingly obvious started by his pathetic lies earlier is that the little man child from limerick (stab city hell hole) simply cannot handle the fact weā€™ve all met and all got along. For me It has came across as bitter and bothered. Haha šŸ˜†

This clown wonā€™t have many friend’s if any thatā€™s for sure and what a shite role model for the young kids he is ā€œapparentlyā€ is supposed to manage at football and his own kids. He childishly calls people melts. Thats what kids below 16 use to insult each other by the way. He has came on here just like a troll and intentionally disrupted the harmony of the blog. Proper sad messed up person. Not the type any normal person would want around them but unfortunately we have to put up with its bile on here.

Shearers was way too noisy to be able to hear conversations. Perhaps Iā€™m going deaf. But it was great meeting everyone, just wish thereā€™d been more time to chat and be heard. Magic is a top man, not a malicious bone in his body. I am 100% convinced that if Munster had been there heā€™d have fitted in fine, perhaps after the initial 5 minutes of sparring with Fenham! There is only blogger who is malicious and thatā€™s FB, despite the fact he does sometimes make decent football related posts. The rest of us are cut from the same cloth. We love Newcastle, the City, the football club and the people who live there. Perhaps some have dug their trenches so deep that thereā€™s no getting out of them, but itā€™s never too late.

The result didn`t go the way we wanted yesterday but at least we still have 6th in our own hands, typical Toon though, we don`t do anything the easy way.
I think we will beat that lot down SALFORD, , it`s Chelsea i am more concerned about, though, having said that, if we win both our remaining games then they can do nowt about it.
I think Brighton will give them a good game , could even turn them over.

    Onmeheedsun,

Was great speaking to you briefly. Yes it was far too loud for folk to get to know each other whoā€™s just first met in person. I know JohnJ was really struggling with the noise. Munster Iā€™m sure would be nice to your face but it canā€™t be forgotten what he has said on here. Theyā€™re things that canā€™t be ignored, he needs held accountable for his actions. I get on with anybody I very rarely get into spats with people. But there are 3 who only post on here for no good and that the troll Munster and lesh. 3 trouble makers who live to target folk who react folk such as me, Mund and CH as we donā€™t suffer fools gladly. Their agendas are there for all to see. Youā€™re an intelligent guy I can gauge that so you must be able to see this?

Anyway thatā€™s me off to bed goodnight all. Thatā€™s not extended to the limerick man child and the coward troll.
