Newcastle will use the free-agent market this summer, as much as they can to improve our squad for next season.
With European football not yet a given for Newcastle, and with just two games to go, it will be important that the executives at the club strengthen the side as much as possible.
And it looks like two of the free agents Newcastle are after – Lloyd Kelly of Bournemouth and Tosin Adarabioyo of Fulham – are still advancing.
If we can get those two signed over this summer – that would be two good (and cheap) signings for the club, since both have Premier League experience.
Respected pundit Fabrizio Romano has given an update on the situation in his X account:
???? Newcastle want to sign both Lloyd Kelly and Tosin Adarabioyo as free agents… plan progressing very well and fast.
Kelly, priority target as #NUFC are optimistic to make it happen very early in the summer.
Talks also progressing with Adarabioyo as he’s set to leave Fulham. pic.twitter.com/3yLSGsfboH

Newcastle will also need to bring in a right winger and another striker if we are to improve the squad for next season.
We expect Callum Wilson to leave the club this summer.
What do you think?

Comment #1It’s a shame that Wilson is made of glass.

Comment #2CW has been a superb servant to the club, and I thank him for that, but I expect if anybody offers anything for him, he’ll be gone, as will Miggy, and possibly a couple of others. Harrison Ashby is one of the names I expect to see let go, as it looks like he has failed to fulfil any of his potential out on loan, which is a shame as he looked decent when we first signed him?

Comment #3FtC; Sheff Wed were deducted points, years ago while in the Championship, when their then owner effectively sold the training ground to himself.
This practice was outlawed in the football league, so, if the EPL have not closed that particular loophole it displays complete incompetence.

Comment #4Novo, didn’t Chelsea recently sell a hotel built on club land to one of their owners shell companies to bring the club finances in line? I hope this is also viewed in the same way?
