Comment #161I’m still annoyed at how shite the VAR officiating is.
That Hall penalty being overturned was a total farce.
That and the Gordon one last match. Just blatantly 2 compeltely incrrect decisions and nthing gets done about it. No punishment, no consequence for the officials for a wrong call. Just fine to keep repeating it, or at worst, have 1 week off work. Boo-hoo.
I know VAR can and should work, but f*ck me it’s terrible at the moment.

Comment #162Paul’s had 3 offers from Championship clubs one of which he’s very interested in. up to the last home he’d not received any new offer from NUFC and expects to leave the club at the end of next month,

He always is (well, 99% of the time -cough- Pedro -cough), as he only ever gives out already known information.
Easiest job ever 🙂
It’s like me telling you the lottery numbers 5 minutes after the lottery numbers have just been given out.

Comment #164No that post of mine #125 was me so definitely not hacked. I noted it racked up all them hearts that Tuffers referred to so boys will be boys though eh.
There are 2 huge positives about Discord. You see who hearts you and the positive is that you can block the likes of lesh, munter, IrishNob and especially the freaky soy boy troll.
But I won’t leave this place until the final curtain comes down.

Fenham’s used three alts that I know of and he’s not the first to get confused, failing to switch accounts, when talking to one of his alter-egos.
I seem to remember Tuff once confirmed such a mix up between Jib and Jane but like me, he may well have been mistaken.
One thing’s for sure… one can never be alone with a schizophrenic!

But how will you be able to sate your obsessions with me, Munster and the others who seem to live in your head. In saying that, there’s enough room in there to house an army!

Comment #168I believe if ManC had not been a position to win the league this season, they may have taken a points deduction. However, now I think they may only accept a 20 point deduction next season and that is dependent on how it effects their Champions league place. They may prefer to go without CL in 25/26 if Pep leaves at the end of next season and allow a new manager to bed in. A negotiated settlement is ideally a better solution all round, but City may also continue to play the big bollocks with their legal representations.

The day when this place sadly shuts down will be very sad for many of us. But the only thing I can take away from that is never suffering insufferable things like you the troll especially and the sad fisherman that is munter. I can so much solace from that.

I much prefer that we played in CL, for our development in footballing and financial terms. But for one dodgy decision we would have qualified through the group stage, which would have been even better.

I think it was a blessing in disguise us not making it through, I don’t think it would have affected our transfer plans in January and I don’t think we’d have finished 7th either.

Comment #182For what it’s worth, I think the var was looking in the wrong place on both penalty incidents. He was looking at Cassimiro and not Amrabat for the first one. Then, for yesterday’s, he was looking at the first touch, not the last one, which brought him down and was clearly in rhe box.

which proves how suspect the whole VAR process is.
To fail to see the tackle from behind on Gordon at manu was negligent. Or worse.
Hall kept playing despite the half tackle when outside the box, the foul that bought him down was when he was clearly inside the box with goal scoring possibilities. That’s a pen and a yellow at least all day long.
Only 8 points separated the clubs between 4th and 8th. Only the top 3 were well and truly clear of the pack behind.

Comment #186lohinvar@131, re the Palace manager.
Glasner has a 53% win ratio since he took over at Palace, they have done the double over Manure and ended Liverpool`s 29 game unbeaten record at Anfield when they went there and won 1-0.
Palace fans must be cock a hoop with their progress under Glasner and deep down they my be looking at certainly a top ten finish next season.
Trouble is, it`s Palace and they tend to sell their stars, so the likes of Eze , Olise, Anderson and Guehi could be targeted in the summer, Mateta looks like a handful aswell.
I don`t usually bet but i might have a little wager on them for top 7 next season, why not, we did it .

I would not have minded staying in the CL, if only for one more round and especially if it had led to additional players coming in back in January. A striker and #6 would have made the season a lot easier.

Comment #198Although there are still a few good posters on here, it’s a pity so many felt the need to evacuate the blog sue to the antics of a few on here. I’ve really enjoyed the articles, the format of the blog and reading the many excellent comments from the decent posters on here.
I doubt I will go full time to discord as I don’t really like the whatsapp like format or how difficult it is to go back on the comments. Although the block function would be a boon. 🙂
