Nobody on here has supported Ashworth since it has emerged what he’s been up to. Absolutely ridiculous allegations from a divisive auld pervert hell bent on causing trouble, a warped mind that belongs in the Victorian age along with his corsets and other weird paraphernalia.

I’m not sure how anyone can claim that Kuol has been mismanaged, it’s the same loan team that seen successful loans for Anderson, White and Minteh, it’s basically saying if the loan doesn’t work out it’s the club’s fault, no different to blaming the manager for every defeat. Both Minteh and Kuol at similar ages got sent to Holland, one excels but the other doesn’t yet one has been managed well and the other not?

Jeez Jail stop we’re agreeing on too much.

No idea what Tuff is saying about blog rats. None of us like the man. I also think he didn’t do a stellar job on certain aspects. Looks like Freedman isn’t coming?

Snap on Kuol. Maybe he’s not all that. Maybe he doesn’t push himself like a young player has to? Hopefully he gets a decent loan and flourishes.

All this talk of Dan Ashworth being responsible for us bringing all rhesebsignings since he arrived and building all these structures may be a bit premature as he hasn’t really been in the position long enough. No idea what he’s done but he’ll have been doing the job he was paid to do but maybe not had the effect yet, that people credit him for:

“‘The biggest compliment I can give Dan when he came in – and this is difficult to do when you’re in a position of power like he is, when the natural temptation is to change everything, to come in with a big ego and say, “this is what we’re going to do” – but the biggest compliment I can pay Dan is that he didn’t do that.

‘He let the structures that were in place exist and survive and we’re still working the same way that we were in the first transfer window. Our recruitment has been very good, and I’m including the summer (just gone), because I think those deals will come good for the club in the long term. So that won’t be affected.’”

    Davas,
The guy was picked out by a specialist recruitment firm hired by us to find the right man for the job at Newcastle United. He is widely regarded as one of the best in the business and should have been with us a very long time. As it happens he’s a no good slimy rat. I’m really not sure why people want to play down what he’s done, a bit like saying Isak or Bruno weren’t really all that should one of them leave.

Isak and Bruno are only doing the job they’re paid for, neither deserve any credit for that.

I didn’t say he wasn’t any of that. I was commenting on the perceived views/opinions of what he has had time to do for us. I’m pretty sure Steve nickson, EH etc had a big say in recruitment etc

Kuol got off a plane in Newcastle from the central coast of NSW and and was immediately sent to Scotland. Only Shola Ameobi and Jail for Ashley thought that was a good idea at the time.

Yes, we won on penalties! I don’t see the trophy in that pic, maybe it was pocket size.*

Not why I came here. I’m in for the pointless post competition, though I think I’ll lose it because I’m making a good point.

So, who got shafted the most from VAR this season? If you said Wolverhampton well done. Who gained the most? If you said Man U, you lose.
    VAR – NET SCORE

    Fulham +5
    Nottm Forest +5
    Aston Villa +4
    Manchester City +4
    Everton +2
    Brentford +1
    Brighton & Hove Albion +1
    Burnley +1
    Arsenal 0
    Liverpool 0
    Newcastle 0
    AFC Bournemouth -1
    Luton -1
    Tottenham -1
    Chelsea -2
    Crystal Palace -2
    Manchester United -2
    Sheff United -3
    West Ham -4
    Wolves -7

    * I have a pocket size trophy, longest drive Aphrodite Hills, glad you know who didn’t enter 🙂

You can’t dispute that with DA we were bringing in new people (scouts, analysts etc) in all kinds of positions nearly every week! Despise the guy by all means for what has subsequently happened.

    WorB,
Can you enter twice? Here’s a better stab:

Why is it Brighton and Hove Albion?

Brighton and Hove Albion’s name reflects a combination of local representation and historical happenstance:

Local Representation: “Brighton and Hove” acknowledges the two major towns the club represents.

Historical Happenstance: The “Albion” part is a bit more interesting. Initially, the club was founded in 1901 as “Brighton & Hove United”. However, another local team, Hove FC, objected to the name implying a merger.

The reason for choosing “Albion” is not entirely clear. There are theories:
Following a Precedent: Perhaps they were inspired by established clubs with “Albion” in their names, like West Bromwich Albion.
Symbolic Meaning: Albion is an old poetic name for Britain, possibly referencing the white cliffs near Brighton and Hove.
While the exact reason for “Albion” remains debatable, it stuck and became part of the club’s unique identity.

This has got nothing to do with what I think of the bloke. I haven’t commented either way.

I’m not disputing that he brought people in (not with the club so I don’t know for certain it was him). But neither can you say that all these signings and the structures in place are all down to Dan Ashworth. Just trying to be fair and balanced.

When it was first announced that Kuol was going to Hearts there was an overwhelming feeling it was a great move from everyone… Decent enough club, with many Australians in the squad. Edinburgh a decent place to live etc…etc…

Not one negative I can recall on here or anywhere for that matter about the move? Strange post #12 that is from ToF. Totally made up lies and fabricated. There are some seriously strange posters that post on here like. Lucky there are only around 6 very odd and mentally challenged posters on here and it’s very clear that they’re all either WUMs, or trolls. Can only imagine what they’re like in the real world, they’d be very odd to chat with that’s for sure. 😳

Really hope the calvert lewin rumours are false, a sicknote non scoring CF, he makes CW look like Mr Fitness 2024. 15 goals in 3 seasons !! Has to be better choices out there and for much less than DCL would cost. Not really that excited by Bowen either. HB can do that job.

Loved the sight of the toon fans behaving like we do home and away and Flags as well. The Spurs fans looked like well Spurs fans. The neutrals will be curious now maybe in love with Newcastle United. Glimpses of Bruno celebrating with the kids and squad was great too see.

Greater Manchester Police has urged any City and United fans travelling to the FA Cup final on Saturday to plan their route.

As with last year’s final between the derby rivals, supporter coaches and travelling fans have been asked to take different routes to Wembley.

City fans will travel from Manchester.
The other team fans will catch the London Underground as usual.

News is coming in of a playground fight involving Dan Ashworth over who sits with who to watch the FA Cup Final.

City say he should sit with them and pal Berrada.

The other Manchester club want him to sit next to Ratcliffe.

Good news is that Amanda Staveley has stepped in and put him on the naughty step.

    No Haribo sweeties either.
