Have to say DCL and Ramsdale would be a massive downgrade from Sesko and Mamardashvilli. Getting the right keeper is worth 10 points.

    Any excuse…
Plans for independent football regulator paused after general election announcement
Conservative MP Tracey Crouch has revealed the Football Governance Bill will not progress any further – meaning plans for an independent football regulator are on hold.

The pause is due to the announcement of the general election yesterday.

Ms Crouch said there is a “ready-made bill” for the next government.

“A lot of people have poured their heart and soul into the Bill – officials, politicians, authorities, clubs and of course fans,” she wrote on X.

“I am 100% convinced there will be an Independent Regulator for football, thanks to the efforts of others and the desire for sustainability.”

So Chelsea are now targeting Howe as an option to replace Poch, yeah right.
Does anyone really believe all of that hogwash .
Chelsea will be linked to every man and his dog atm but only one will get the job, and it won`t be Howe imo.
Journo`s have it cushty don`t they, making up BS to get clicks bcos they know some people are gullible and will believe everything they hear or read.
Howe will leave one day, maybe for the England job in the distant future but i`ll put my house that wor Eddie would avoid Chelsea like the plague, he is far too intelligent to be roped into that shit show of a club.

I see a few have cottoned on to Fenner’s plagiarism which I alluded to a week or two back…

If memory serves me well (), I did comment on the swiftness of Kuol being loaned out so soon after his arrival at NUFC.

Whoever’s arranged that has overlooked the fact that he was a young lad who must’ve felt as though he’d been catapulted into a strange land and joined a new employer to then be loaned out to another, in Scotland!

The lad wouldn’t have had time to be inducted into NUFC and probably didn’t know whether he was coming or going let alone focus on his career.

    lesh,
Minteh hasn’t even been here and got loaned out, we’ve got people who have been involved with football all their lives dealing with it, they know what they’re doing.

Hearts was chosen because at the time they already had 5 socceroos in there squad, 2 of which he already knew,

They also had a manager who was known for giving young players a chance and had an attacking philosophy, he also knew about Kuol, not the club’s fault he got sacked, it’s an hour and a half from Newcastle, a great vibrant city with plenty of students in case he got lonely, if he can’t handle that then he should have stayed with his Ma.

Bowen? Of course, brilliant, but he’d be too expensive, I think. There’s cheaper new Bowens out there, surely.

Calvin, surely not. Now that would be nuts.

As I recall we had to loan out Minteh and Kuol for work permit reasons so we had no choice there. The Hearts loan for Kuol seemed ideal but the second one didn’t work out so well – I just think we should have recalled him when things were not working out – I now realise he could not have played for us but surely just training with us would have been better than being miserable on loan.

.Kuol’s work permit was sorted before he got here. Not sure he could’ve played for Hearts if it hadn’t

Interesting article on injuries on the BBC site.
Total number of individual injuries is the highest on record (20 years)
Total number of injuries is up 11%on last season.
    Hamstring injuries were up 18%

The Scottish League is a standard below the championship and better than league one, it seemed an excellent move to send him to Hearts at the time.

“Brighton and Newcastle unexpectedly qualified for Europe so their workload increased significantly but it’s not just down to the number of games they’ve played, it’s down to travel and disruption to training.

“The Premier League is unique because of the intensity. Players are required to run harder, faster and for longer with less recovery time.””

Only come on here match days and when I feel ill.
Having nightmares over reports about DCL.
    Wind up surely?
Two pens a season and plays half a dozen games. Makes Wilson look healthy.
If we pay mega money for him then Howe is on the naughty step big time.

Evening all, had 5 mins chat with Luke E. after school pick up etc… nothing exciting, but he said there was discussions in London regarding Tosin, and him & Lloyd Kelly deals will wrapped up in couple days etc…. But he states that we are definitely interested in Calvert Lewin, Everton, especially, not my cup of tea if I,m honest, also Bowen, but that deal would cost a lot of money. He did say there will be a lot of incomings and outgoings over the next few weeks, sorry nothing exclusive, but beggars can’t be choosers, lol. Cheers GWH

Wowzers, proper ITK stuff that like. DCL though, :grittedteeth: emoji, he was excellent under Ancelloti mind but seemed to fall off a cliff since he appeared on the front of that magazine, probably why Ancellotti left as well.

    Jail, Hibbit

Not for one minute was I criticising the way Kuol was brought in and quickly loaned out to Hearts. Yes, there were valid reasons why he couldn’t remain at the club and as Hibbit pointed out, Hearts had a manager with a good record with youngsters plus some Aussies there too.

My concern was that the lad may not have been properly inducted into NUFC, his relationship with the club, feeling part of it, soundly established.

No matter, it’s water under the bridge and to coin another phrase…..

an example of taking Kuols to Newcastle!

    Boom boom!
