    Jail, Munster

Now gaan canny on Tuff at what will be a busy time fir him. He’s trying his best to impress us with his wisdom ( 🙄 ) and now, recent eventually spur him into action.

He’ll have brought his John Bull outfit out of storage and he’ll be out there, come rain or shine, knocking on doors trying to encourage folk to vote…… for Thatcher!

You never know, he might even make a friend. Naah, that really is stretching things.

Different people have different needs. All I’m suggesting that Kuol may have benefitted from some time at SJP before Scotland. That does not have any bearing on his ability as a player and if he doesn’t make the grade, that’s life.

There no hard and fast rule to inductions but it is a critical phase when bonds are formed – you know all about it having been around the block a bit – and there’s no reason why Minteh should be developing well whereas Kuol might need more time. Different lads, different skill levels, different development

Is the loan rumour about Everton and Minteh humbug, or would he be an imperial signing for them?

Paqueta may be in serious bother.
Allegedly spot betting on yellow cards in four games, all of which he was booked in.

Just enjoyed a canny evening in the company of these canny lads in Hexham
Their tour is nearly finished but catch it if you can . Maybe at The Sage (Glasshouse – stupid fecking name) tomorrow.

Songs and ballads from the pit villages and collieries. Quite moving, thoughtful and enjoyable.

After Eight mints were advertised on TV as sophisticated after dinner mints to have with coffee after a posh dinner in an English Country House ( after 8pm) setting.

The TV adverts bombed in Italy so they changed the theme to young trendies having the mints with their expressos in the plaza coffee shops in the morning (after 8 am)

    Way more cool.

    You maybe right.
Everyone’s been kidnapped by aliens, at least until the night shift appears.

Calvin-Lewis must be rumour making. Can’t see the fit there.

That Paula Vennels from the Post Office was talking about honesty and integrity then admitted that she lied to the inquiry.

Must have gone to the same school as Dan Ashworth.

Liverpool have turned their attention to Leeds’ Dutch winger Crysencio Summerville, 22, after opting against moving for Newcastle and England winger Anthony Gordon, 23 according to 90mins.

Don’t think we’re in for Bowden, Calvin-Lewis or Paqueta
Just smoke screens to confuse others.

Our signings will be left of field. But maybe to play on the right

Kuol is a full international with real eye catching abilities. Why not send him to Scotland and Holland for first team experience? If he is going to be an elite footballer then he has to find his feet. It’s tough, but with massive payoffs if you succeed. You need talent of course, but you also need to strive and persevere. I don’t see the loans as having been misplaced or misguided. He’s learning the ropes. It’s ultimately up to him to show his worth, and his mettle. He’s only 19. I doubt he’ll make it frankly, simply because he’s a long way off it, but if he’s going to, and he appears to have the talent, then the problems he’s faced over the past two years will be part of the reason why he does. He went to decent clubs in decent leagues, and it shouldn’t necessarily be plain sailing. If he’s got the chops, he’ll rise. I hope he does.

Will he be missed? Go on, admit it (but don’t post it here or tell anyone!)

A big character, passionate, loved by his players and his fans, played great football, brought Liverpool to their previous level.

Accolades came from his biggest enemies. The one that impressed me the most, from Pep, who makes an incredible admission that say, Mourinho, probably wouldn’t make:

“I have the feeling he will be back and thank you so much for his words but he knows that behind me there is a lot that this club provides me with, otherwise alone I can’t do it. I’m humble enough to understand that.”

In an Ideal world, this theory would be tested:

Big Sam said give him the resources and players of the big teams and he’d win things himself. I’d test it out! Wish he had been hired by a big team.

Conversely, I’d like to see an elite manager like Pep manage Luton or Everton, how much better would he do?*

    * Such experiments happen in real life. E.g. The great Ancelotti managed Everton. He didn’t exactly make them world beaters. Rafa managed Newcastle. He didn’t exactly make us world beaters.
