This Player Is Our Blog’s 17th Player Of The Season

It is not a surprise, but after being signed less than 18 months ago by Newcastle, Anthony Gordon is our blog’s Player of the Season for 2023/24.

Under Eddie Howe’s guidance, Gordon has improved in leaps and bounds and it says something for Howe’s coaching ability that the (Liverpool lad born) 23 year-old –  has made so much raid progress in such a short time.

So there you have it, Gordon looks to be a regular for England (and Newcastle) in the years ahead given his excellent form for England since his debut.

Gordon is our 17th player of the season with 49% of the vote.

I know hes only going to be a rotation player so it may not be as problematic but still, did anyone else see just how bad Kellys injury record is.

It will actually shock you how often hes injured if you haven’t seen his stats. He makes Wilson look like a 50 game per season player.

If he stays fit I don’t think he is a squad/rotation player, he’s supposed to be class, it’s just whether he can stay fit.

    Sir P,
So in that case you’d happily chat to Idi Amin about immigration, Pol Pot on workers rights and H!tler on the finer points of racial equality.
Again, well done you :clappinghands: emoji

In your current mood I would probably get more sense out of them than you.

I think I’m good with what I believe and not which is fck all really however there are certain people like Ormenstein and Downie or Gravesy if they put it out there is truth to it. Doesn’t mean we will sign anyone but we are at the table.

I’ve been saying the same about articles saying we have to sell but then we put a bid in for Trafford. All they ever do is contradict each other and themselves.

The truth is we will 100% be in for players it’s just which ones are the serious ones and which ones are agent led.

Personally I’m looking forward to the out of the blue signing that know body saw coming.

    Definitely a statement signing incoming

What a devastating moment to come on to catch up and see that Jessie has announced the passing of the legend that is Dr Ed Harrison.

First I’d like to pass on my condolences and heartfelt wishes to all the Harrison’s and all that has been hit by the terrible news that we all knew was coming however nothing prepares you for that moment. It’s a very very sad day and by far the saddest that will ever be on this amazing blog that the incredible Dr Ed Harrison created to give us the Newcastle faithful a platform to share our views and to create ever lasting friendship.

Ill be forever grateful for what he has given us all

You’ll will always be remembered Dr Ed and may you now rest in peace watching the toon army above at the Cathedral on the hill.

    Rest in Peace Dr Ed

    Gone but never forgotten

Jessie… Sincere condolences to you and the family.
Dr Ed is a Geordie legend and has brought together Newcastle fans from all over the world. He’s created a community here that’s been through the good times and the bad. This blog that he created helped us all through the Ashley years and on to the current more optimistic and hopeful era. It has helped forge friendships, maybe some enemies, we’ve shared laughs, debates, arguments, celebrations, despair. We all have something in common though, we were all brought here by the legend that is Dr Ed and our shared love of Newcastle United.
Dr Ed Harrison, a true Geordie legend who will never be forgotten by the many who’ve frequented this blog over the years.
    RIP sir!
