Howe Makes One Forced Change – Our Predicted NUFC Eleven At Bournemouth

Eddie Howe pulled no surprises with his team selection against Southampton one week ago. He fielded an eleven that the general consensus sensed he would. However, a ridiculous moment in the 1-0 victory over The Saints leaves Howe short at the back.

Fabian Schar is not available after a straight red for his phantom head butt of Ben Brereton Diaz. The Chilean international should be ashamed of himself for his histrionics, which only served to fire up the crowd and the Magpies.

Without the Swiss for Sunday’s clash at The Cherries, Howe will be forced to alter his backline against his former club. While there are options, I suspect he’ll produce a straight swap with Emil Krafth in for Schar.

This is the lineup I predict for Sunday with just the one change. It could be another big chance for Emil, who has often risen to the occasion under Eddie Howe.

“According to Sofa Score, no one who made it onto the pitch in the Palace/West Ham game lost possession more than Marc Guehi today (17).”

Palace and Parrish are taking the Michael

Guehi maybe a ‘Lundun boy’ and isn’t displaying the come and get me noises that would suggest his determination to become a toon legend.

Sounds like his performances are varied at best.

Should we move on and get the much needed RW and another CB option ?

I think tripps might start tino hasn’t been that good imo.

Think Kelly might get the nod over Kraft, eventough it was craft who came on and not Kelly last match.

Hopefully we’ll see Everton go down the pan this season – they’ve have a good start (teehee) this season. They’ve escaped the drop a few times hopefully not this season.

Well based on what i thought i;d gleaned fro Eddie’s presser I have gone for Tino, Krafth, Kelly and Barnes starting but I reckon that Neil’s pick is more likely!

Playing catch up but I did see that we had appealled Schars red card and the FA said nah

Did they look at Diaz throw his head forward, hit fresh air then jerk in back before the sniper got him ? It’s as clear as day on replays. Perhaps they just closed their eyes and thought it would go away.

Any retrospective punishment for Diaz for bringing the game into disrepute and being a cheat ?

Any action taken against Pawson for the worst refereeing in eons ?

Or are we to believe that the FA have an agenda ?

Bill – do not post any extracts from William Shakespeares plays as you know who will be on saying he wrote them.
Got to be vigilant these days – he could be hiding in the shadow- waiting to pounce.
    Stay alert.

Danger is that Mitchell has got so hooked on this deal and protecting his own reputation that he’s lost sight of the reality.

Hardest word to say in business is ‘no’.

Think we’re at the point he should say it, keep his reputation for strong sound judgement and move onto other options, that earns respect.
Sign preferably not a London lover but someone like Bruno, BigJoe, Tonali and Gordon who want to play at the highest level.

I know Mitchell is negotiating but does anyone think that Guehi is his choice?
My gut tells me that he is Howe’s choice and Mitchell is begrudgingly trying to get Parish to negotiate.
It is EH who has being saying all window that he wants players that can improve the squad on day 1, not projects or squad players, that’s where the big money comes in, but often reputations are not totally deserved.
I also feel EH feels he needs to prove himself this season or he may not be around to develop those projects, or even wish to be.
I may be talking total BS but his body language leads me to feel he is not as comfortable as he has been in previous seasons.

Quite a naughty article in the Guardian…..a low blow really.

I think the vast majority of Newcastle fans recognised that in a PSR world we wouldn’t be able to just buy silverware.

Project is on track, owners are fully on board and playing by the rules……..and no one has sold their soul.

    Mischievous to suggest otherwise.

Can Kelly slot in on the right side of defence.

From what I’ve seen of him in our training footage, he looks a formidable athlete with good technical ability, and of course proven top pro.

It must be tempting for Eddie Howe to start him somewhere against his old club.

All this fuss about not having enough cover at rb if we lose Tripps is baloney.

Livra is a great first choice, and Krafth solid cover.

Trippier is arguably still the best fullback at the club, and a really fine presence on and off the pitch, but we won’t be short if we do lose him.

I hope he stays, but it’s not the end of the world if he goes.

Regarding the article in the Guardian, most who looked at PIF, their history and their reason for existence would know that the ultimate aim is to add value to the club and hence add value to PIF.
They never said they were going to do a MC or ever intentionally throw money away, yes they will spend for a return and yes they are hog tied with PSR, but they know that building revenue is the way to build the club and in the end make them profit.
Forget all the talk of vanity projects or even sports washing, the investment fund is there to invest – why- to gain a return.

Ipswich defender reaches and deflects a ball out of play and it’s clear to see his foot moves the ball in a different direction but VAR gives Man City a penalty.

Suspicious, VAR again in favour of certain clubs.
    Nothing has changed .

Lineaker says nowt about the penalty incident.

Underwhelmed now by the whole Guehi song and dance.
He doesn’t seem to want to leave London (,same old story) and the German lad is keen as mustard and had the stats and attitude to back up his ambition and is about £39m less cost .

    No brainer really.
Let’s not have a return to Jim White at 5minutes to midnight saying we couldn’t work the fax machine. Nor some charade of a Press call to introduce Guehi, that would be embarrassing now.

    Nothing rings true.

IMO the club should be looking to bring in three players for £20-30, to improve the squad with competition for places. We are not in a position to buy ready made star players and need to invest in players with future trading potential.

Just lost a longish poster on the Guehi saga because I wasn’t logged in – arggh !!!

Not even going to attempt it again

Basically who one knows what’s going on and my slightly battered trust in Eales and Mitchell remains

I could add that in the real world The Guardian is actually not a rag

Though if I do glance selectively at a paper these days (as i occasionally do at library) then it’s the “I” – although the other weekend some blighter had it so I firstly had to peruse The Guardian 🙂
