Kelly, Krafth, and Murphy Start At Bournemouth

Here is the team Eddie Howe will field for today’s match at Bournemouth. It has two changes from the 1-0 victory over Southampton last weekend with Emil Krafth and Lloyd Kelly in for Fabian Schar and Lewis Hall.

It’s a full debut for Kelly which creates some intrigue about the backline. Will Krafth play at right-back and Tino Livramento on the left? Or is Kelly a straight swap for Hall?

The bench is a strong one with plenty of options for Howe. There is a bit of a surprise that John Ruddy gets the call ahead of Martin Dubravka and Odysseas Vlachodimos.

This is the eleven Andoni Iraola has named for the hosts.

A win and Newcastle will join a trio of clubs to start the campaign with all six points. That would provide some confidence ahead of a momentous week with the Carabao Cup match at Nottingham Forest and Spurs on the horizon.

Howay The Lads!

Teams like Bournemouth are not far behind us in both players and coaching.

Have a lot of pace and athleticism.

Hope we get up the pitch and keep the ball. Been some tuff old watches in away games last year. My expectations are not great going into this game like. Will miss Schar more than folk think. Krafth cant pass

Does this selection mean Dubravka is on his way, or is he injured?

This will be a tough match. Bournemouth always have bags of pace and energy, especially ay home, and their manager is excellent.
But we should have too much for them assuming some of the cobwebs from last week have gone. Need Gordon back to his old self from last season.

Yeh, hopefully get Dubravka and Greek fella out the door. Dubravka cost us the game against these last year.

Pope is huge for us. His importance cant be underestimated. Turns losses into draws and draws into wins the big fella.

Good to see the bench strong. Barnes, Miggy, Willock and the kid Osula could all make a difference.

Tonali back midweek, in good enuf nick if we get a couple in.

Dubravka is suffering from concussion from a training accident, apparently.

Potts – yeh, smoke and mirrors that. Concussion from training. Sounds and smells like shite. Need to get rid. Would trust Ruddy more than him.

So its gone past half one and still Sky babbling on about the Bindippers game. Carragher, Redknapp and a former women footballer talking utter shite. Goes some when Redknapp is the brains of the punditry.

I suspect Guehi is a deal amicably agreed in private.
Parrish is seen to be protecting the best interests of the club and no loss of face for him.

Making Guehi Captain was designed to enhance his CV and as a show of gratitude.

Yesterday he stood apart to wave to Palace fans at the end of the game.

Maybe he was cautious in the game so as to avoid injury or any incident that could have affected his move to us.

Think his bags are packed, medical Monday and in da house for next week.

Mitchell will know what he’s doing.

And the fee ? Probably £62m with add ons.

He’ll not play at Forest but may start against Spurs

Lochinvar that sounds about right to me. Let’s wait and see…

Not too worried about Evanilson today. Was decent enough in Portuguese league but is fairly lightweight. Ofc this could come back to bite me… think Burn, Krafth and Kelly will be much too big and strong for him though
