Kelly, Krafth, and Murphy Start At Bournemouth

Here is the team Eddie Howe will field for today’s match at Bournemouth. It has two changes from the 1-0 victory over Southampton last weekend with Emil Krafth and Lloyd Kelly in for Fabian Schar and Lewis Hall.

It’s a full debut for Kelly which creates some intrigue about the backline. Will Krafth play at right-back and Tino Livramento on the left? Or is Kelly a straight swap for Hall?

The bench is a strong one with plenty of options for Howe. There is a bit of a surprise that John Ruddy gets the call ahead of Martin Dubravka and Odysseas Vlachodimos.

This is the eleven Andoni Iraola has named for the hosts.

A win and Newcastle will join a trio of clubs to start the campaign with all six points. That would provide some confidence ahead of a momentous week with the Carabao Cup match at Nottingham Forest and Spurs on the horizon.

Howay The Lads!

I would have taken Guedi at 70 mil because he is a good player and it’s not my money.
But we have dodged a financial bullet.
I would prefer a top RW before Friday.
I fancy we might get a goalie with Mitchell pulling the strings.
Maybe the FA planning to play 3 goalies and Mitchell is ahead of the game?

No most fans after been told repeatedly that it would take years to get where the top teams were accepted it.
We’ve had CL and a trip to Wembley, so well ahead of were we should be.
Especially after the crap they’ve thrown at us regarding the “stop them getting ahead agenda”.
I’m as disappointed as anyone, but can see no team wants to sell to us, and they’re allowing the top six teams to amass players at obscene levels, his are we ever going to get to that level.
I’ll stick to my support of the team, EH and the owners, as long as I see them trying, that’s all most supporters want “A TEAM THAT TRIES ”
WOR flags had a great banner with them words on,
EGB YOU CAN JOIN MY CLUB ANYTIME.
at our age seen it all, lived through it all.
They better hurry up though. 😀

Let’s judge our transfer business at the end of the week.
Guehi would give us the best 6 years of his career and possibly more, but the price is high. I’ll back the club whatever the outcome but it would be nice to think we had a plan B. We are short at CB so they surely have to bring someone in. If not the club will need to explain their actions as we deserve to know what’s going on. If they don’t then speculation will be rife, which will not be helpful. Darren is now the main man. Let’s see what he’s got.

Suppose its easy for a club to cement a place competing for top 5-8 however now reality has hit getting top 4 consistently needs constant investment and not many mistakes.

Especially seen as though our previous owner had neglected everything associated with this great club. The problem lies with the fat slug, not with the current regime who are trying everything to make us better.

    Shape Up folks.

Are there any great players who want to come to the club?
Teams think we’re rich so put the Newcastle tax on, we can’t win, can’t grow the club as fast as we want, like City, it will take years.
We’ll get there, and no amount of moaning is going to help the team. Although going to the match it’s years since I heard any discontent, although I just went twice last year, I’m going to push myself to go to a few this season.
I’ve got to see Tonali play again.

We seem to be insisting on a requirement to only shop for players with PL experience. None of our PL competitors want to sell to us.

So shift the search outside the PL. To a club in Europe, all the PL clubs are rich and they need the money. We need to cast a wider net.

If we are going to drop 70M on a single player, go for Tapsoba for RCB, much higher ceiling than Guehi. Needs some time to adjust to PL but looks a star in the making, has won silverware and played in Europe. This is the kind of profile we should be after. Find a similar profile if a RW. Get Coman on loan, give him a bumper wage.

Even better, find the next Tapsoba, Coman whoever, like Brighton are doing.
