Barnes, Kelly, And Longstaff Start Against Spurs At St. James’ Park

Newcastle are back at St. James’ Park today with a potentially revealing test against Tottenham. Eddie Howe has named the following eleven for the clash which has four changes from the midweek Carabao Cup win at Forest.

This is a strong team with Howe once again naming a front three of Alexander Isak, Harvey Barnes, and Anthony Gordon. Getting the trio clicking in front of net is vital after not strengthening the attack in the summer transfer window.

This is the team Ange Postecoglu has named. It’s a rare start for former Juventus and Genoa defender Radu Dragusin in the place of the injured Micky van de Ven.

A win and all could be well again on Tyneside. The Magpies are undefeated and three points takes them into the top five ahead of the first international break of this season.

Howay The Lads!

    Onmeedson,

I think the public were hoodwinked into buying EV`s, the government stating that all vehicles would be electric by 2034 was utter BS imo
Ive got a pal who is a long distance lorry driver and the chances of EV lorries being able to carry out the journeys he does is zilch, just not possible in his view.
I agree , diesel and petrol are the most reliable way to go and no amount of government propaganda will change that.
Volkswagon are rumoured to be considering closing their plant in Germany, things are that bad.

You mock those who feature in CH’s list?

There’s no point in creating such a list to accommodate the likes of you and your chums – everyone knows who you and your fellow Fenham flunkies are!

Appreciate your supportive comments but don’t worry about me. I’m pretty thick skinned. Most posters on here are genuine and for the most part behave reasonably.

Our one year old Cavalier King Charles spaniel was spayed yesterday. All went well but she was much subdued when she came home. She must be wondering what we’ve done to her. Anyway, we’re both retired so we decided to have a duvet day with Rosie. We watched all 15 episodes of Bleak House back to back. Finished at 2am this morning. Well worth a watch if you crave a bit of culture. There are some hilarious characters, notably Jonny Vegas, Phil Davis and Alun Armstrong. So if you’re at a lose end and missing the footy, give it a go. Spoiler alert. There are no sex scenes (which is a shame as Gillian Anderson and Carey Mulligan star) and no modern swear words. The cast list is like a who’s who of British acting.

Looney Lesh – stop your stalking. You obviously have the lip on because you are on the “TossagateTen” list and perhaps do not like the fame or you realise the truth about yourself that others see but you don’t. Please check your reflection in a mirror to see if there is anything there.

Failing all of that please ask Matron for a hot toddy and whether she can apply a poultice to your gob.

Cavaliers are tolerant animals but the full set of Bleak House might’ve been too much to ask of her

Very quiet today on the football front. I would have thought those posting anyway would perhaps have told us some interesting stories to keep us entertained. Combat or war stories perhaps – like fighting with the French Foreign Legion against wild tribesmen in the jungles of South America – phew blood curdling stuff.

At what point did you decide to have it in for a particular blogger? Have I missed something. You’ve always been a very reasonable poster, albeit with an addiction to kippers! I’m not trying to get involved just understand. These 1 on 1 personal agendas just drag the blog down. Yours seemed to come out of nowhere but I assume you have good reason.

This should spice the blog up a tad.
Whilst watching the splendid Bleak House yesterday, it made me realise how restrained our Victorian ancestors had to be when in the company of women or men they took a liking to. All they had were words as touching was out of the question. Do it got me thinking, especially in light of tossgate on the blog. At what point did the human race start to masturbate. I mean it’s a natural thing and a very important sexual safety valve. The victorians must have been at it all the time. But were they, Anyway just putting it out there. Perhaps Google have the answer. I’ve concluded that I must be a pervert but one with strong lateral thinking!

I’m not referring to you, I respect you as a blogger and have no beef with you at all.

Jail for some reason decided to make a comment reffering to me and the morning shift, a subject that i have put behind me and no longer want to indulge in.
It for me was a deliberate provocation, although I’m sure he’ll try to dress up as a joke.

he is the shit stirrer although he has managed to convince people he is a ‘NICE guy.

Perhaps he is to most but he definitely likes to have a dig at me for some reason and has done so for years.

I’m happy to ignore his posts if he does the same for me.

Also I’ll be happy to exit the blog, I do have a real life!
