Hall, Murphy, And Schar Start At Wolves

Newcastle are back in action with a match at Wolves. As things have panned out this weekend, a win pushes the Magpies into at least the top three pending the Arsenal at Tottenham result.

This is the team that Eddie Howe will field at Molineux with three changes from the win over Spurs before the break. Fabian Schar comes straight back into the team after his suspension despite Emil Krafth’s impressive performances.

The other two changes are Jacob Murphy in for Harvey Barnes and Lewis Hall at left-back for Lloyd Kelly. The three who miss out are on the bench and likely in contention for starts at Wimbledon on Tuesday.

Gary O’Neill has chosen the following eleven for the struggling hosts.

Newcastle look to keep their unbeaten run alive in what has been a promising start to the campaign results-wise. The Mags haven’t quite found consistent form but have ground out results.

Hope abounds that the run continues with all three points pushing Newcastle near the top of the table.

Howay The Lads!

Very attacking line up you’ve put up – won’t win the Bingo I suspect 🙂

Eddie much more cautious and Isak apart I think you may have 2 in there who won’t start – like to be wrong but we’ll soon see

How do you get a VAR decision vs top 6 team?

As a fan of nearly 60 years with a lot of downs and only a couple of false dawns I reckon i can be patient with this regime as they represent our best ever opportunity to fulfill our destiny – it is literally a once in a generation change we are witnessing

As Carltoon often says it would preferably be sooner – though why a 21 year old lady would think so I’m stumped 🙂

Magic, how can you pick a team without PUG as left back?

Good afternoon all. magicmac54, JohnJ. Many thanks for your warm replies. What a sight it could be to see Tonali starting. We are typically more conservative in battle away from home. Perhaps it may not be Sean Longstaff who makes way?

Very difficult but can be done remember v Arsenal last season and the lengthiest and most complicated series of VAR checks ever and eventually time beat Stockley Park and they had to concede and allow goal!!

Anyway sorry if I have spoiled the pugline ( I’m guessing there is to be one)

    🙂

This is the exact team.i wanted except for Joelinton, id have Tonali starting over him. I think Bruno Tonali and Willock might just be our best most balanced midfield choice personally.

You were at the receiving end of some mighty dressings down yesterday and most folk who’d been so criticised would be too embarrassed, too humiliated to post on here again.

    Have you no self awareness

It’s been said that to finish in the top 4 you probably can’t afford to lose more than 4 games in the whole season.
After the Wolves result we need to further send out a message of intent and win today, in fact win well, take 3 points, boost goal difference and make it clear that we dine at the top table.

Chelsea are 4 up away at West Ham (hardly an away game) but it shows they are starting to gel. Spurs and Manu are lagging behind, let’s keep it that way.

Let’s get well ahead early and not concede.

Unfortunately you didn`t get your wish with Tonali in the starting 11 marra, but it`s still a strong looking team fella.

magicmac54, it certainly is an intriguing starting xi. It’s fantastic to see young Joseph Willock in there. What a talent he is. Trippier will help us build from the back more. And Barnes possesses the most dangerous long range strike in the league. I think we could dominate the entire field.
