Hall, Murphy, And Schar Start At Wolves

Newcastle are back in action with a match at Wolves. As things have panned out this weekend, a win pushes the Magpies into at least the top three pending the Arsenal at Tottenham result.

This is the team that Eddie Howe will field at Molineux with three changes from the win over Spurs before the break. Fabian Schar comes straight back into the team after his suspension despite Emil Krafth’s impressive performances.

The other two changes are Jacob Murphy in for Harvey Barnes and Lewis Hall at left-back for Lloyd Kelly. The three who miss out are on the bench and likely in contention for starts at Wimbledon on Tuesday.

Gary O’Neill has chosen the following eleven for the struggling hosts.

Newcastle look to keep their unbeaten run alive in what has been a promising start to the campaign results-wise. The Mags haven’t quite found consistent form but have ground out results.

Hope abounds that the run continues with all three points pushing Newcastle near the top of the table.

Howay The Lads!

Why field a weak team (Longstaff and Murphy) when you have Tonali and Barnes on the bench, bloody stupid.

    So Newcastle
Miss chances, long staff mistake, poor passing, sloppy defending

If we want top 3 we can not lose this type of game.

Utterly terrible. Terrible team choice, terrible motivation levels ( yet again) ,not good enough. Leaving out Tonali and Barnes was strange

If we don’t see Barnes and Tonali on for the second half I’ll be shocked.
Joelinton has been very poor and is one foul away from being sent off. Needs to be subbed.

Passing has been a bit better than previous games, but a bit too slow in the build up and lacking cutting edge.

Need to speed it up a bit and be a bit braver with the passing in the final third.

Hopefully come out second half with a bit more urgency and we’ve got a great bench to try turn it around.

Yesterday the despicable Manu should have been 1 down to a penalty yet went on to beat Southampton 3-1. That’s what we need to do

We gave Wolves chances, their first lead of the season and their goalscorer his first goal of the season.
    That’s not good enough.

Tonali and Barnes need to be on at restart if Eddie has the nads to do that.

To be fair, Newcastle were the better side for the first half hour

Joelinton hasnt just been careless with the ball, he’s been lazy & belligerent recently

we all thought longstaff would lose his position to tonali..but if I were Howe, I’d drop Joelinton…he needs to get his head straightened

Tonali & barnes on for the second half please. That wolves back line are highly suspect in possession. newcastle need to capitalize better than they have been.

Isak has been pooor …but he’s our only up front though

We’ve been much the better team and only behind coz of a sloppy pass from Longstaff but iv no doubt we’ll get something from this a win is still on but even a point isn’t bad

This team needs changing at the start of the second half no like 60 or 65 mins need done stright away
    Bring
    Barnes for Murphy
    Tonali for longsteff
    Tripper for tino
Willock for jolington before he gets himself sent he’s losing it again bad side of his game.

We look like a team who have no idea. Relying on Gordon to beat his man and do something.

    Has Eddie been sussed.

Fortunately Tonali and Barnes will save him.
