Newcastle are in the top four as they head south to take on Fulham at Craven Cottage today. The Magpies have grafted for their impressive points haul but yet to put in an overly convincing display.
Hopefully, that changes with this side Eddie Howe has named. It features four changes from the 2-1 win against Wolves last weekend with Kieran Trippier, Lloyd Kelly, Joe Willock, and Harvey Barnes getting the nods.

Newcastle have another golden opportunity to pick up points away. Their luck could run out if the levels don’t rise against The Cottagers. The hope is these changes from Howe spark a convincing victory at Craven Cottage.

Comment #6I called it last week with Tripps and Kelly starting.
I just don’t think Tino or Hall are anywhere near ready to start personally. They’re great subs to bring on but they ain’t ready to be starters.

Comment #11That’s a very attacking starting 11, with plenty on the bench.
I would expect to see some minutes from Tonali, Tino, Hall and possibly Osula in the second half depending upon the score.
I’d really quite like to see what Osula can do and how well he fits into the team considering the fact that Wilson is all but done for us.

Comment #13I think defensively Eddie’s gone for tighter side as Fulham have good attacking players
Midfield will have caught most if not all bingo players out 🙂
If midfield clicks then could be good balance
Not sure who is covering midfielder- Joelinton?
Willock left side and Bruno right ?

Comment #14Chelsea are really cooking lately. It’s hard to see anything except a beating at the bridge in a few games time.
Have to start seeing a performance today if we’re to have any hope over the nect 5 or 6 games. We need to start clicking.

Comment #15I was a bit harsh on Livramento last week as it looked like he couldn’t be bothered to get back for the goal, but in viewing it again he was looking at the player behind him instead and not realising the greater threat in the box.
Still think Trippier is the best option at the moment though, gives us so much more going forwards as Livramento seems to be more reserved and less dynamic these days for some reason.

Comment #16Fairly good Fulham side — although Jiminez hasn’t been the striker he once was since that nasty head injury — he will not want to be challenging for high balls with Schar if he knows Schar’s reputation.
Strong midfield for them though, it has to be said.

Comment #25magicmac54, it certainly is an intriguing starting xi. It’s fantastic to see young Joseph Willock in there. What a talent he is. Trippier will help us build from the back more. And Barnes possesses the most dangerous long range strike in the league. I think we could dominate the entire field.

Comment #36Cracking line up by Eddie there. Happy to see Willock in the side as he really gets us up the pitch with his carrying the ball. We miss the lad when he is not playing.
Very solid bench also, plenty of talent to come on and change it up. But our front 3 today can be very dangerous if they click. Huge game this as we could potentially go top with a convincing win.
