Gordon, Hall, and Isak Start Against Brighton

Newcastle are back in action after the October international break. The competition is stiff as Newcastle enter what could be a revealing stretch of matches. Today Brighton come to St. James Park in a battle between the sixth and seventh placed clubs.

This is who Eddie Howe has named for today’s match. It has two changes from the draw at Everton with Alexander Isak back leading the line.

Here is the side Fabian Hurzeler has selected for the Seagulls with Yankuba Minteh not in the squad.

This is a massive fixture despite it still being early. Newcastle have played better of late but to Howe’s admission, have not yet reached top gear. That may need to happen today to get all three points against a very talented Brighton side.

Howay The Lads!

Newcastle playing with a great tempo the 1st 15 minutes and well on top so far, the lads look really up for it today, very impressive stuff from the Toon.

We’re playing so well its great to see, but I hope this isn’t going to be another one of those games where we just can’t score. It has all the hallmarks of it after the first 25 mins.

Isak is way way off it. May as well be playing with 10.

    Should be 1 up

    Schar in no mans land.

Classic example of why he won’t be starting next season he’s so good on the ball and going forward but he’s not great at defending.

Isak would want to get his head out of his arse. He’s been awful this season. And we have no option but to play him.

Feels like we’re going to get a man sent off evebtually and we won’t be able to catch them back on the shore sheet then.

We do have an option play Osula, because Isak isn’t up to it atm. It’s literally 10 vs 11

Typical sucker punch there, after playing so well and dominating the match, i still think the Toon can win this game.

Sooner we get Wilson back, the better. Then Idak has competition or a partner upfront. We were such a different team with both strikers.

If we need to sell a player to raise money then it has to be iask 2 missed in first half one on the line missed kicked second one one on one with keeper and still can’t score.
Really iask will not put his foot in can’t head the ball and he can not hold the ball up .
