Newcastle are back in action after the October international break. The competition is stiff as Newcastle enter what could be a revealing stretch of matches. Today Brighton come to St. James Park in a battle between the sixth and seventh placed clubs.
This is who Eddie Howe has named for today’s match. It has two changes from the draw at Everton with Alexander Isak back leading the line.

This is a massive fixture despite it still being early. Newcastle have played better of late but to Howe’s admission, have not yet reached top gear. That may need to happen today to get all three points against a very talented Brighton side.

Comment #50We’re playing so well its great to see, but I hope this isn’t going to be another one of those games where we just can’t score. It has all the hallmarks of it after the first 25 mins.

Comment #66Schar in no mans land.
Classic example of why he won’t be starting next season he’s so good on the ball and going forward but he’s not great at defending.

Comment #79Sooner we get Wilson back, the better. Then Idak has competition or a partner upfront. We were such a different team with both strikers.

Comment #80If we need to sell a player to raise money then it has to be iask 2 missed in first half one on the line missed kicked second one one on one with keeper and still can’t score.
Really iask will not put his foot in can’t head the ball and he can not hold the ball up .
