Newcastle are back in action after the October international break. The competition is stiff as Newcastle enter what could be a revealing stretch of matches. Today Brighton come to St. James Park in a battle between the sixth and seventh placed clubs.
This is who Eddie Howe has named for today’s match. It has two changes from the draw at Everton with Alexander Isak back leading the line.

Here is the side Fabian Hurzeler has selected for the Seagulls with Yankuba Minteh not in the squad.

This is a massive fixture despite it still being early. Newcastle have played better of late but to Howe’s admission, have not yet reached top gear. That may need to happen today to get all three points against a very talented Brighton side.

This is just crazy.
For those not watching, don’t look at the score.
We should’ve been out of sight by now.

Comment #132Gordon is a great player for us but he’s not a natural goal scorer. Harvey Barnes is a natural goal scorer

Comment #134Munster, he was very good, why deny it. He helped dominate MF, have some brilliant through balls too.
Not sure why you’re picking on him.
If you want to pick on a player, go for Isak.
Me, no. The lad’s not match sharp, it’s obvious.

Comment #138No zip in the passing in the middle, never has been. Bruno taking miles too long on the ball, Joel technically limited.

Comment #139Apparently the vultures are circling around Schar for a signature to go to Saudi etc and 30+mil figures have been mentioned….I wouldn’t let him go full stop….he’s our best or one of our best players….ever

Comment #152If we spend even 60M on a defender when we are in so much need of players all over the pitch then we deserve to finish outside of all European competitions.
I pray we have permanently walked away from Guehi because we just cant afford to do end anywhere near that kind of money on one player let alone a defender.
