Livramento, Longstaff, And Willock Start Against Arsenal

After an impressive win knocking Chelsea out of the Carabao Cup, Newcastle have another difficult test at St. James’ Park with Arsenal on the docket.

Eddie Howe makes just three changes to the midweek team for today’s clash. Here is the team that can move to just three points behind their opponents with a victory.

The Gunners will be without Martin Odegaard today as Mikel Arteta has named the following team.

Another win would be fantastic after booking a trip to a cup quarterfinal. The lads will have to be at their best to defeat a strong Arsenal side.

Howay The Lads!

Will have to record the match as I’m helping my son sort his flat out, so here is my one and only countdown.

13 Hours 6 Minutes to KO.

We’re 12th and Forest are 3rd yet there are only 4 points between us

    It’s a tight PL alright

Good thing is not only does 3 points move you up the table quick but that over just a few weeks a lot of your rivals have to play each other because of the number of teams separated by so few points

Apparently Forest are in a similar position as Leicester were in their title winning season of a few years ago but that was a one off ….or was it

All that was required was not only Leicester to hit form but all the usual suspects to have mixed fortunes – couldn’t happen again

    Could it ?

I don’t think so but if it did then why not us 🙂

After all a win today would put us a point off Forest with some winnable fixtures including Liverpool at home to come after break (another one!!)

Only joking lads but it is an open PL right now and we can look to.capitalise on European places but all our neighbours in table are thinking same thing

Let’s go for it today !!

    MATCHDAY!!!

Nowt worse than not having a game on a Saturday and having to wait for the Sunday/Monday match.

Big game and a huge chance to continue our good form and rejuvenated performances over the last couple of weeks.

Got to be the same side who beat Arsenal.

    Go with confidence and belief.

    Cummmmmonnnnmm

    Let’s ave it!

It’s a tricky game v the Tricky Trees
But howay lads, three points please
They’re doing so well are Nuno’s guys
But I think we’ll chop ’em down to size

We’ll meet a few of our old boys too
And I hope today that they play like poo
I wish them well for the rest of the season
Just not today, that would seem like treason

And what’s going on with big Chris Wood?
When he played for us he was never this good
Truth be told, he was a bit of a plank
As week after week he was firing blanks

And now look what he’s gone and done
He’s only scoring goals for fun
He even got a hat-trick I seem to remember
Against some poor saps way back in December

Then there’s Elliot Anderson, one of our own
Who we had to sell for profit cos the kid’s homegrown
‘The Geordie Maradona’ said Joey B
It’s a shame that we had to cash in for a fee

And they’ve a decent keeper in Maty Sels
Although when he played for us he didn’t excel
As I said, I wish them all the best
But not in today’s City Ground contest

And today I think that wor Bruno
Will show that Elliot has a way to go
And with BDB snuffing out big Chris
I can see a win for the Toon, then that’s me on the piss!

Try and stay strong lad, i`m very aware you and your dear wife were very close,

Let`s hope the Toon can do the business mate, a bit of devine intervention today wouldn`t go amiss.

    Take care fella.

Great test today. Against Arsenal the side was so well disciplined by Howe and you could see the defensive formation when we were under under.
    Really expertly choreographed.

Forest are playing very well with their fast direct forwards,

    1 -0 to the Toon.
