Gordon, Hall, And Longstaff Start At Nottingham Forest

Newcastle will hope to keep momentum ahead of the international break with a result at Nottingham Forest today. A win would see the Magpies climb into the top half of the table before the break.

However, it will not be easy as Forest and local lad Elliot Anderson have had a blistering start to the campaign currently occupying the third slot in the table. A continuation of recent displays is desperately needed.

Here is the eleven Eddie Howe has selected for today’s clash which is unchanged from 1-0 win over Arsenal last weekend

Nuno Espirito Santo has named the following team for the hosts with Anderson on the bench.

This is another pivotal fixture to reshape the early stages of this season. The lads will have to be focused and disciplined today. Hopefully, they can solve their problems in front of the net with at least a couple of goals.

Howay The Lads!

I wouldn’t be worried about Isak leaving at the moment especially to Arsenal who the media are basically begging him to go there

They are nearly at their FFP limits and to be honest if we got Mbuemo and a Guehi level centre half then I actually think we would be better than them

However if it was someone like Madrid or Barca it might be more difficult to keep him although financially they won’t be in a position to bid either

I feel as long as we are challenging for europe and trying to show ambition I think he will stay

There should be other players we can shift before we sell the blue chip players!

Men get called misogynistic, and it’s simps like you sexualzing women them putting them on a pedestal, that’s why only fans is doing so well. Men like you

I have often read and liked your comments and haven’t joined the many attacks on what you say.

It is disappointing to see you making comments about me not knowing anything about me other than admitting I like watching some womans sports.

Still if you feels it empowers you in some way carry on, honestly mate I couldnt give a damn, really! 🙄

So if you watch the Toon women playing football you re a simp?
    What bollocks.

    Catchy.

You say you prefer watching some women`s sport, like what?
Take tennis then, even one of the best women`s tennis players in history has admitted that the men`s and women`s tennis game is like a totally different game and to be frank, its bloody boring and slow
Serena Williams suggested that if she played any of the men players seeded in the top 100 she would lose 6-0 6-0 in around 10 to 15 minutes
    You prefer womens tennis., why?

I started watching the Toon women when we got new owners who promised to invest money in the team and i embraced their idea that the lasses would be transformed from a 4th tier semi pro outfit into a fully professional unit who would be playing in the WSL within 5 years, and they are on course for that.
Is it as good to watch as the men`s game, absolutely not, i have stated so on a few occasions , but basically what you are saying is don`t watch or support the Toon women because it`s shite, right?

A word of caution for fans expecting a landslide score line tonight, remember, how many times have the lads failed to turn up when expected to steamroll an opposing team? too many times to mention.
I hope and think we will win tonight but nothing is guaranteed in this lge.

I have no intention of getting into a debate about the relative merits of Womens and mens sports.

They are different, men are physically stronger than women and women cannot compete against them.

    Transgender debate anyone? 🙂

For a laff, how many sports are there where women compete on an eaual basis.

Here is a couple of starters.

    Darts

    Snooker

Although the women might need to develope their bodies to become the fine physical specimans that many of the men are! 🙂

Completely agree with you on score depends which Newcastle turn up and if we have our shooting boots on
Brighton should of been out of sight with the chances we made and MISSED.
Isak to Chelsea if they can afford him then the whole System is corrupt – we play by the books and they don’t but get away with it

The last couple of games we have certainly been much more organised as a whole team – with everyone doing their own roles correctly.
So with that in mind a win is certainly possible tonight. As long as Isak is not isolated.

    You just never know.
Getting sorted now to head off and brave the cold.

Just gonna support from the first kick to the last.
Might nick it 1-0 with a late goal after a dire performance.
    That’ll do.
