Gordon, Hall, And Kelly Start Against West Ham

Newcastle are back in action after an extended break with today’s clash against West Ham at St. James’ Park. The Magpies will hope the fortnight plus between matches will not hamper the momentum of four straight wins.

After the weekend’s action, Newcastle can climb into sixth place with a win. The Hammers have struggled this season so anything less than all the spoils would be a disappointment.

This is the side Eddie Howe has selected. It has just one change from the 3-1 win at Nottingham Forest with Lloyd Kelly in for the suspended Dan Burn. Callum Wilson and Kieran Trippier are also back and available from the bench.

Here is who Julen Lopetegui has named for the visitors.

Howay The Lads!

wow game on now folks, my prediction was 2-1 for the Toon, still confident it can be achieved, but the next goal will be so important.

I fukin hate Pope’s distribution eith a fuking passion. Why did he hoof it up the field and ultimately lose it instead of passing it to a defender who was in complete open space on his own. Christ it’s so shocking

We aren’t playing terribly but we also aren’t playing great either

Was worried West ham would low block us and we conceded a shite goal

Joelinton and Tino are doing well but Gordon and Hall are being pocketed by Bissaka we need more from them

Poor finish from Gordon he’s got to improve that aspect of his game Barnes is putting that away 90% of the time

Joelinton is a worldy mind. Nothing like him in the league.

    Sean and Willock been pish.

Kelly been good apart from goal. Schar been a touch ropey for a few weeks.

One goal equals four here. They are poor like. Gordons miss proper wank

I still think we will win 2 1.
Hammers get a second and it’s very bad news.
We need more on the ball in midfield. Tonali must come on quickly

We`re actually playing fairly well despite the score, and have clearly been the more dominant team in that first half, perhaps this game is set up for our bench to turn the tide in the second half, particularly barnes and wilson.

You might be right about Longstaff being poor in this game, but you say the same thing every time he play’s so your view is pointless, broken record spings to mind
