Gordon, Hall, And Kelly Start Against West Ham

Newcastle are back in action after an extended break with today’s clash against West Ham at St. James’ Park. The Magpies will hope the fortnight plus between matches will not hamper the momentum of four straight wins.

After the weekend’s action, Newcastle can climb into sixth place with a win. The Hammers have struggled this season so anything less than all the spoils would be a disappointment.

This is the side Eddie Howe has selected. It has just one change from the 3-1 win at Nottingham Forest with Lloyd Kelly in for the suspended Dan Burn. Callum Wilson and Kieran Trippier are also back and available from the bench.

Here is who Julen Lopetegui has named for the visitors.

Howay The Lads!

We aren’t good enough. Too many, “just one of those games” this season.

Weak goalkeeping too, I actually can’t wait to see the back of Pope. He’s such a weakness to the team

I’m assuming you’re not at the match so it looks as though your hero still hasn’t rewarded your behaviour with a ticket.

Oh, your heartng finger must be sore……

Kelly having an absolute stinker. At fault for both goals.

Every time we look like we’re going to do something and get towards the top 4 we blow it.

Pacqueta is everything that Tonali and Bruno aren’t for us at the moment

His passing and movement has destroyed us

    Peter agreed.

Really really thought our bad form was behind us. We’re playing Liverpool in 2 games that’s another loss. Not looking good again all of a sudden

We will play better against Liverpool though because we will sit deep and counter

Being favourites doesn’t suit us at all

I agree lads Kelly has been bullied by Antonio all night, he simply doesn`t have the physicality to deal with him unfortunately, we really miss big Dan tonight.

Yeah he’s been good at what he does he’s only created one chance though

Pacqueta is a proper no 10 creative and totally different players which is what we need in our midfield with Bruno

Lee we can’t play a no.10 though because we play with wingforwards and wingbacks that wpuld only leave 1 central midfielder which is unheard of and mean theyed literally walk through us..

Like you can’t play our formation and play a no.10

We’re never going to have a no.10 under Howe.

Another wasted season where we don’t get europe and struggle to hold onto our best players.

I think our luck will run out in that department this summer though.

    @Irish

And this is the issue our setup is begging for more structure in the middle with a no 10 and a DM especially in games like this

We’ve offered nothing in the middle and their no 10 has had the freedom of the pitch for the whole game

It’s like a dogs dinner out on the pitch with the subs and players moved about
