Newcastle Face League Leaders Liverpool At St. James’ Park

Newcastle face league leaders Liverpool this evening. The Reds are flying high with a nine point lead over Arsenal and Chelsea. It’s up to Eddie Howe and the lads to put a damper on their campaign.

The Magpies are coming off a couple of disappointing results. After losing at home to West Ham, a late goal at Selhurst Park cost Newcastle all the spoils over the weekend. However, under Howe Newcastle often meet the challenge against favored opposition.

A top performance will be needed to get anything against Liverpool, who have handled Newcastle capably since the takeover. Hopefully, the lads can find some form and pick up a needed result.

In other news, Newcastle have drawn Bromley at home in the third round of the FA Cup. This is a very good draw which will hopefully see the Magpies advance in the storied competition.

Unfortunately, I’ll not be able to watch today’s match due to work obligations. This article can stand in as a thread for the match.

Howay The Lads!

Murphy…yikes….needs to improve delivery big time but he will defend. Unlike Barnes. Who looks like a waste of 35/40 mill these days

Peter were going to get battered ffs I’m not ebem sating it to be funny.

1 of 2 things will happen tonight. We get battered on the scoresheet or we get battered on the pitch and lose by 1 or 2. Or we have that 1 in 4 or 5 match where we play to our ability and win or draw. Then the howe stays morons will be out in full swing pretending like the last year and a half of dross didn’t happen.

Ye know where I stand, firmly in reality! Howe OOOT.

That being said and because its the nufc blog I feel I have to also say I hope we win, and we’re capable of winning.

Have you ever thought about making an effort to act your age?

And to those jumping on the Jane bandwagon, can any of you actually confirm that Jane is/ was female? Or, Mund, did you pal, Jib provide it?

I called when we bought him.
Not that he’s a bad player but why spend 38 mil on a winger when you have Joe and Gordon. Maybe a right winger instead?

    Fenham’s surfaced eh.

It’s noticeable that whenever he pops up, his little sycophantic chum does too.

And just to show his desperation for attention, so does Tuff.

    Evening Folks

wow Murphy in the starting lineup has really thrown a spanner in the works with most of our bingo selections tonight 😀 😀

Huge test of our resolve tonight no doubt, all hands on deck will be required to get anything from this match, but if the lads can bring their A game to the table i see no valid reason we can`t get something from this match.

I suppose seeing that this midfield combination hasn’t worked in any game so far makes sense to try it again! Has to click eventually ?!

The problem with playing Murphy is no one wants to pass to him

So it’s like a man down as he makes runs but we just leave him be as well playing him at fullback
