Barnes, Murphy, And Longstaff Start At Brentford

Newcastle travel to Brentford today after tallying a well-deserved point against league leaders Liverpool on Wednesday. While it’s been a rollercoaster start to the campaign, Newcastle can do themselves a lot of good with a victory over the Bees; a club they’ve had a lot of away success against recently.

This is the team Eddie Howe has selected for today’s clash. It has two changes from the midweek draw with Harvey Barnes and Sean Longstaff in for Anthony Gordon and Sandro Tonali.

Here is the side Bees boss Thomas Frank has named.

A win should see Newcastle comfortably placed in the top ten with a platform to build upon. However, the Brentford will be eager to carve the same path for themselves. A top performance is needed to get Newcastle on track for a push for Europe.

Howay The Lads!

Good Day to you all folks.

The Irish Star are running with the heading ( I`TS HOWE OR NEVER )

for todays game, i think it`s very appropriate as we have 3 very important and crucial games to negotiate.

I suspect in the past week there will have been a period of emotional reflection, serious soul- searching, harsh words and perhaps strong feelings of annoyance and displeasure thrown into the mix, i think these are all good things, and are very much needed!! That old old adage comes to mind ( No Pain, No Gain )

I have a strong feeling Newcastle United will be highly highly motivated for this fixture and will produce the goods today!!

Odds are enormously for us to win, to a degree that it’s not worth a bet (7/25).

A draw is a very good bet (5/1)but I ain’t biting, I want a win and can’t have any distractions.

Pass on bets on this game for me.

    Magic,
Having seen your list of good things I dread to see your list of bad things :).

As you didn’t include “let’s make fun of…” sessions*, I’m guessing those would be in your latter list.

    * E.g. let’s all laugh at Isak missing a one on one in this next scene, etc.

Mund whopper lol. Brilliant.rather b a whopper than a glory hunting know it all. Yes glory hunter is what you r. I’m guessing by the pic you had up of yourself your mid 30s to early 40s. You grew up in the time we we’re going for leagues, cups and in the champions league. But your from Middlesbrough sure. back then they where in the Premier league holding there own big fan base and stadium. Y did you jump ship to Newcastle. Glory hunter that is all. Biggest fraud of a poster on here. Never talks about football. Sorry only time you have an opinion on the football side. It’s copied and pasted of twitter. Again your a fraud. Bet you still cheer on the boro lol.

You won’t get any opinions from him lad, just know it all comments after the evert. It’s well proven at this stage.

Eddie HAS to play Tonali and hopefully a good performance. I’d be concerned about a low block and then Vardy running against Schar.

    I was going 3-0 but I’m going 3-1 now.

    No more excuses.
