Newcastle will have vengeance on their minds when Brentford come to St. James’ Park today for the league cup quarterfinal. The Mags were swarmed by the Bees in a 4-2 away defeat a few weeks ago. However, the St. James’ Park setting this evening will hopefully make for a different outcome.
Newcastle were outstanding in downing Leicester on Saturday with a romping 4-0 win. The lads put in an almost perfect display and will hope to carry that momentum into today’s ultra-important cup clash.
A second straight win and a ticket to the Carabao cup semi-final would certainly help assuage some of this campaign’s frustrations. So let’s hope the lads can get it done tonight.

Brentford will b very dangerous on the break with r ageing slow cbs and there fast forawrd line. We have to win everball every second ball and not give them a chance getting out and trying to counter attack. I’m going to go for a classic game under the lights tonight. Can see plenty of goals. 4-4 and the Toon to win on penalties lol. Naw 3-2 to the the Toon
