Miley, Osula, And Targett Start Against Bromley

Newcastle kick off their FA Cup journey against Bromley today at St. James’ Park. The Magpies are flying high in the midst of a glorious run of 7 straight wins across the league and the league cup.

As expected Eddie Howe has made plenty of changes against League Two Bromley. Here is the side he has named which is quite strong.

This is who former NUFC goalkeeping coach Andy Woodman has selected for the Ravens.

Almiron looks like a player who has zero confidence and knows we want rid

The other side of the coin Miley looks fantastic some of his passes and his goal have been great

This low block by Bromley isn’t easy to score against

    Low block problem.
We are better against teams which attack us.
First 13 are CL quality but the squad is not.
We will have the same issues next season if we get CL

Too early to become frustrated, playing themselves into the game and making combinations. Not going to be a fluid win but the difference in quality is apparent and will not be overturned.

I think we’ve seen a lot of rustiness in that first half against a team who obviously have come to defend.
But we’re taking too long to get the ball into the box and allowing their defence to set themselves. Just need to cross it in first time which is obviously something that Almiron rarely does because he swicthes back to the other foot

Also the quality of the crossing has been average. Lots of balls sailing over the heads of people in the box.

What’s the point in bringing Gordon and Bruno on at half time? Let the reserves grow into it

He never makes subs early in any premier league game

Barnes is another who just looks done for us

Really wanted him to sign for us but he also now looks like a luxury ASM player who we might need to trade out

After our exploits in the past week, and primarily the fact i knew we would pick pretty much a second 11 today, i wasn`t expecting a five star performance today, and just as i speak Anthony Gordon puts the Toon in front.

Would guess Joelinton/Bruno sub was predestined.

Barnes has not been proper defensive cover, but the substitution is likely to be put down to a niggle.

Is it me or does Sean do nothing right currently. He seems to have completely lost the plot. He needs a move sharpish.
