Newcastle kick off their FA Cup journey against Bromley today at St. James’ Park. The Magpies are flying high in the midst of a glorious run of 7 straight wins across the league and the league cup.
As expected Eddie Howe has made plenty of changes against League Two Bromley. Here is the side he has named which is quite strong.

Comment #92Osula has a lot that gives me confidence he can be a success
He’s rapid
Good in the air
Strong and can hold the ball up well
Capable of a wonder goal
We aren’t creating a massive amount of chances for him but I like him be interesting to see how he develops

Comment #94Have to agree, Miggy is worse now than he’s ever been for us before. It’s like playing with 10 men.
I’ll slways respect him though and he’s still the scorer of my favourite Newcastle goal ever.

Comment #95Today isn’t Sanusis debut, he’s definitely played at least one match with the 1st team before.

Comment #98I always thought the way Miley` strolls around the pitch was quite reminiscent to Glenn Hoddle.

Comment #99Feel sorry for Miggy and Longstaff the team has grown so quickly in terms of the quality of our new players
They stand out so badly in terms of skill and even where to make runs or make the right pass
Even Miley looks miles ahead of Longstaff already

Comment #108Bringing on two purples at ht transformed the team.
Eddie wanted to sort it asap.
Miggy, Longy and Barnes need to get playing time somewhere else.
Decent performance overall. No complaints at all

Comment #114Bringing on purples at ht for squad players in a game against league 2 opposition is not a vote of confidence in the squad.

Comment #117Miggy surely is done for us. His role seems to be as a right side left-footed hold up player for whoever is playing at right back. Today was a classic example of us needing wide players who can get to the goaline and cross back into the box.
There was really no service for Osula in the first half, just back and forth across the opposition’s box. When serviced arrived in the second half, Eddie took him off which must be fitness related because we learned nothing from playing Gordon at CF.

Comment #118The squad needs strengthening, there’s no doubt about that, but we had to rest some players, and everyone played a part.
Eddie did a great job, he’s got faith in the players, and he brought the subs on exactly at the right time. MAGNIFICENT MANAGER. 😀

Nice to see Andy Woodman, him and the team had a great night out on the Toon last night, just for a meal mind.
