Botman, Isak, And Tonali Start Against Wolves

Newcastle are pushing for their ninth win in a row in all competitions. Today they take on Wolves at St. James’ Park as they hope to eclipse Chelsea into fourth in the league table with a win.

Here is the side Eddie Howe has named with Isak and Botman back after a rest in the FA Cup. One concern is Fabian Schar is not in the squad though Emil Krafth returns after a lengthy spell out.

This is the team Vitor Pereira has selected for Wolves.

Howay The Lads!

contract issues with Schar? strange he isn’t even on the bench. I personally prefer Krafth at his position.

wolves are a much better side than their position suggests. wolves are doing us a favor by not starting Cunha

And Schar could magically reappear in the starting lineup at the weekend, food for thought.

    Lukes

I’d have been surprised if they did, too important to them to risk!

Might only have played a smallpart of the game anyway.

Need to watch that Strand Larsen bloke -bustling/bullying type of player.
Surely another win tonight – I’m going for a 3 -1 to the Toon.

From the little I have seen of Strand Larsen, he seems to get into some great goal scoring positions. Keep him quiet and the rest should work itself out.

    “GOAL – Newcastle 1-0 Wolves
    Alexander Isak

    It is that man again!

Alexander Isak scores for the eighth Premier League game in a row, although he gets a huge slice of luck.

The striker is a bit fortunate to retain possession on the edge of the box before his shot at goal takes a big deflection off a Wolves player to wrongfoot Jose Sa.”

Is it me, or has Gordon looked off form since he took that shoulder to the face in the Spurs match? Looks nowhere near as sharp to me
