Botman, Isak, And Tonali Start Against Wolves

Newcastle are pushing for their ninth win in a row in all competitions. Today they take on Wolves at St. James’ Park as they hope to eclipse Chelsea into fourth in the league table with a win.

Here is the side Eddie Howe has named with Isak and Botman back after a rest in the FA Cup. One concern is Fabian Schar is not in the squad though Emil Krafth returns after a lengthy spell out.

This is the team Vitor Pereira has selected for Wolves.

Superb performance again and great that we’re able to get the job done and rest some players towards the end.

Does Tonali ever run out of energy? Sprinting forward in the 95th minute and then sprinting to win the ball back as well. Unreal.

He’s absolutely transformed us doing his thing in the middle.

Absolutely glorious. Tonali as a 6 is a wonderful thing to behold. He sets off so many moves with first time one touch passes and his recovery runs sitting in and protecting the back 4 is like a rolls royce.

Talking of rolls royces, boy did Schar pick the wrong time to get suspended!! It is like Botman has never been away, even playing on his wrong side.

I am sure there must have been a time over the last 55 years when they won 9 in a row but I can’t recall it ever happening before.

You’ll make me blush man come on haha

I also said I’d have played Schar tonight over Botman and then Botman went on to have an unbelievable game again.

    Can’t get em all right!

An all action game, so much fun to watch this team.

Pass of the game, King Bruno, that was Brazilero stuff. The whole team ran and hustled for 100″.

    Congratulations to everyone, all MOM.

I feel I must give credit to Wolves, they gave a lot to this match, were unlucky not to score.

Such a solid won. Tonali is 100% world class. Glad to see Osula get more minutes. Boys looking tired at the end. Hopefully plenty of R+R for them before the weekend.

Great result but I didn’t think we played well

To open at the back if they had
a decent striker could have been different.
    Tonali my MOM again
Botman Burn played well but both play same way – with Schar we always have an out ball.
    Livamento and Hall did OK
