Burn, Dubravka, And Schar Start Against Southampton

Newcastle are hoping to bounce back after getting trounced 4-1 by Bournemouth at St. James’ Park. Last weekend may have been one match too many after a brutal winter schedule.

A full week of preparation will hopefully be the needed ingredient to bounce straight back with a victory. The Saints are likely heading back to the Championship with just six points amassed and a lengthy losing streak.

This is the team Eddie Howe has named for today’s clash. It has one change with Fabian Schar in for Sven Botman from last weekend. Nick Pope returns to the squad with Martin Dubravka deservedly keeping his place.

Here is who Ivan Juric has selected for the hosts.

Howay The Lads!

First contact was borderline, but then his whole body wipes Isak out.

Why is no one talking about isaks first time touch to create his second goal. At least I thought it was orgasmic.

Poet went a bit quiet once we scored haha

Also using the eddie has won nowt, well technically he has, he won the championship with Bournemouth, and besides hardly any manager have won anything as generally only the top few clubs in their retrospective countries win anything and Howe hasn’t so

Your darling Iraola hasn’t won anything either, is he rubbish then?

That was a penalty all day long for me. Isak had control of the ball and was about to shoot. The Southampton player dived in and didn’t get the ball and brought Isak down. I’ve no idea what Ekoku was on about.

We`re playing well in patches, not a vintage performance so far, but nevertheless a goal up at half-time is not to be sneezed at folks.

    Arteta has melted.
Arsenal player off, straight red for hacking down Wolves player breaking our of their half

Strangely Bournemouth did that 3 times in the first 15mins against us and ref wasn’t even bothered.

Bruno unlucky not to have at least a couple of assists. but no surprise Murphy came up with the assist. he’s the one you want on the ball in the final third

Magic it wasn’t too bad here, I thought ophelia was far worse. 1 or 2 trees down my fence in the back garden is down. But not too bad.

Mean gusts of 55kph max gust of 90kph. We’ve had many worse.

How about you Magic, I hope ye fared OK did ye?
