Miley, Osula, And Wilson Start At Birmingham City

After reaching the League Cup final, Newcastle will try to advance in the FA Cup as they take on Birmingham City at St. Andrew’s this afternoon. The recently relegated Blues are on a strong run topping League One in a bid to get straight back to the Championship.

This is who Eddie Howe has selected for today’s match.

Here is who Chris Davies’ will send out for the hosts. Former Mag Grant Hanley is on the bench.

The arbitatrion decsion that City have won against the PL is massive.
Not quite sure why or how clubs that were penaised by the rules should then be liable for damages. That’s down to the slimey 6 less City, the slimey 5 then.

Masters is then fooked. Will the press check out his dealings in the same way as they have found out that Rachel Reeves has fiddled expenses and doctored her CV to then run the finances of the Country or not as in her case.

This decision is a huge blow to the Premier League and effectively it means their APT rules up to November 2024 were unenforceable.

Any club who had a case heard under their rules is now in a position where they could launch a damages claim.

One source has suggested this could make the Premier League – and effectively therefore its clubs – liable for tens of millions of pounds.

This will also put a focus on chief executive Richard Masters, who confirmed the changes in November despite being cautioned against implementing them by City and Aston Villa amongst others.

Yes magicmac54, April 27th and if the Gawds are smiling on me we’ll be playing the FA cup semi final on the Saturday which I’m pretty much guaranteed four tickets.

Citeh wins case against EPL. Rules recently voted in deemed unenforceable but there’s more to be done to allow clubs such as NUFC to receive sponsorship – I think.

    News’ll appear on BBC soon

So Masters and co brought in rules which were basically illegal, well, it sounds more damning doesn`t it.
Corrupt as foot are the PL , todays decisions tells you all you need to know about how this lot run the show, with the greedy five sitting in the front row.
Iv`e never counted Citeh as part of the cartel, they are basically the new kids on the block who have never really been accepted as part of the GROUP.
Citeh have the PL and the cartel on the ropes and long may it continue, the anti competitive restrictions were only brought in because of our current owners, and Al Ramayyan and co must be watching this case with an
overzelous interest, at least i would like to think so.
Who knows what kind if deals our club might of had over the last 3 years but if they have been refused certain mega deals then the club should take the PL to the footin cleaners.
Masters has been exposed now, just go for the jugular big AL, to the point where the corrupt footer has to resign.

I kinds think that the lack of training ground sponsorship, along with other sponsorship deals not being done, or announced is starting to make sense imo, i think our owners have been holding fire , waiting for todays outcome.
Look forward to some crazy sponsorship coming in next season folks, you know it makes sense

I am not going to get too carried away “The Premier League says the tribunal’s ruling does not impact the “valid operation” of current APT rules, which it believes are still “valid and enforceable” and remain in “full force”.”
So in effect the tribunal deemed the old rules illegal but they were replaced last year by a new set.
I am unsure where that leaves us and whether City’s lawsuit will encompass those rules also?

The problem I see is that MC can keep challenging APT rules, but if the PL clubs just keep voting in new ones then it will be an endless battle, as is the PL clubs ratifying PSR on an annual basis.
We see the crazy situation as with MU that they are making redundancies and moaning about PSR, but when it comes to taking actions to scrap it they seem more worried about NUFC prospering than they do about their own problems.

It’s looking like the PL will be picking up the £20M costs, not sure how long they can keep risking lengthy court battles.

Watching Minteh put one in the onion bag for Brighton is just a little reminder of how much of a twat Richard Masters is,
Whether we think Minteh will be a success at this level or not is irrelevant, point is the Toon had to sell one of the most promising young talents we have had on our books for decades bcos the powers that be were looking after the clubs finances , you know, making sure we didn`t go bankrupt hahaha, give us a break.

Let’s not lose.sight.of the fact that Citeh’s successful appeals related to the sponsorship by associated parties rules. And, the EPL argues thar the updated versions of those rules are valid.

The FFP rules which govern spend in relation to turnover still stand…..
    I think

    Minteh took his chances well.
Brighton on their game at home but Chelsea were very disjointed.

Commentators in raptures about Mitomas take and goal.

While he didn’t score Osula’s take against Brum was perhaps even better but the commentators didn’t upgrade his to Messi comparisons as they did for Mitomas !

To me the club have ballsed up the Ticket process for the Final very badly. So many true fans shafted because they followed the rules which were subsequently changed and not for the better.

Even worse is the replica kit on offer with the lettering

    Carabo Cup Final
    Liverpool v Newcastle United

Who the feck got that wrong.
You don’t need the word Liverpool in there and no it as the home team at all.

    Carabo Cup Final
    Newcastle United

Would have done the job perfectly well without mentioning the opposition for posterity. Trainees at work in Chinese factories again. Not good
