Miley, Osula, And Wilson Start At Birmingham City

After reaching the League Cup final, Newcastle will try to advance in the FA Cup as they take on Birmingham City at St. Andrew’s this afternoon. The recently relegated Blues are on a strong run topping League One in a bid to get straight back to the Championship.

This is who Eddie Howe has selected for today’s match.

Here is who Chris Davies’ will send out for the hosts. Former Mag Grant Hanley is on the bench.

    “Agricultural” tackles
    Half time Bovril
Apart from the good conditon pitch it all feels a little like 1976.

If the team bus isn’t bricked after the game, I’d get re-runs of Life on Mars for entertainment for the trip home

Impressive character shown by the team.. Osula did himself proud; Joelington mach2 in the forward position. Krafth and Targett solid. Willock and Wilson good goals.

    Great team performance.
    Well done willock
    What does Longstaff offer?
Dirty phookin Brum. Disgusting fouls. Ref missed most. How they ended with 11 is a joke

Blood and thunder cup tie, made to battle, and the pick of the goals was theirs but we deserved the win.
They tried to kick us off the park, not their fault but the ref’s… Let far too much go and offered us very little protection.

Willock the plaudits, but I’d pick out Miley.
Most composed player on the pitch, at such a tender age… just glides across the grass.

    In the hat again… HWTL

When you consider we had a makeshift team tonight, that really was a fabulous performance and victory, there will be some walking wounded after that physical encounter, it’s fortunate the lads have a week’s rest now.

    Stupid twats. Including Shearer.
    Brum are beyond dirty.
It would not have been blood and thunder if we had been the foulers. We would have been the dirty lucky Saudi sods
