Gordon, Trippier, and Willock Start At Man City

Newcastle start a difficult stretch of matches at reigning title holders Manchester City today. As it stands, the two club are vying for a place in the top four with Newcastle in sixth and the Citizens one place above on goals scored.

This is who Eddie Howe has named for today’s match with Harvey Barnes back fit.

Here is who Pep Guardiola has selected for the hosts.

City might not be firing on all cylinders at the moment, but they are still a class team laced with quality, if Newcastle bring their A game to the table we can definitely get something from this fixture, it would give me ecstatic blue moon delight to come away with 3 points today!! My prediction for today, an entertaining 2-2 Draw.

Davas – yeh, just noticed. Went off a post rather than proper news.

Man City lack some pace on the pitch mind.

    Never get a better chance.

Toastie so desperate to have a dig into Longstaff, that his eyes deceive him ha

Don’t see why you need to feel sorry for him anyway, hes a squad player for this home club in the premiership, but good for him if he decides to move in future for more football

We’ve found a bar in Tenerife to watch the match which is owned by a City supporter so should be interesting 🙂

Not bothered about Mintah, when you think who we’ve had to sell in the past, and the stellar career’s they’ve went on to have.
Good luck to Mintah, who knows we maybe in a position to buy him back some day.

Minteh is only 20 and will only get better. Was devastated when he went with the likes of MA, SL, CW, KT and others still here.

People try to play it down saying he never played for us. That’s totally irrelevant, nor did Messi or Ronaldo. Point is Minteh could have and been just what we needed for the next 10 years. As well as Murphy has done, he’s nearly 30.

Unfortunately city also got 3 CB’s we were allegedly in for and desperately needed. Zhuranov, Rei and Bah. As well as they’ve done, Schar’s and Burn’s lack of pace (B’mouth and Fulham come to mind) is always a worry.

City are second top in the form table, bar the Arsenal defeat they’ve not lost in the league since before Christmas. A tough game but city are still weaker than they have been in recent seasons, hardly over confidence, just a cold hard fact.

The worst single piece of defending all season. Trippier was washed up last year. He is nowhere near Tino
