Gordon, Trippier, and Willock Start At Man City

Newcastle start a difficult stretch of matches at reigning title holders Manchester City today. As it stands, the two club are vying for a place in the top four with Newcastle in sixth and the Citizens one place above on goals scored.

This is who Eddie Howe has named for today’s match with Harvey Barnes back fit.

Here is who Pep Guardiola has selected for the hosts.

I honestly don’t think were going yo get top 6, I’ve been thinking it for a while. Our form just isn’t consistent enough. This was a must win game, a 6 pointer and we don’t look like we’re even capable of scoring

I think we are still an outside chance of finishing top 5 if forest, chelsea and Bournemouth drop off badly. But that is asking a lot

    The fear is almost palpable.

It’s either that or we’re really so far behind this team.

I’d watched City recently and they’re not yet a done force.

    As you can see…

I did think it was so weird the over confidence going into this game.

Same with the final. Liverpool will beat us easily we don’t have a hope, but people don’t want to hear the honest truth.

This is so poor. No excuse for it. We’re playing City at home I never thought we had a hope of winning but this is far poorer than I expected.

Every time in good positions we bottle it, every time!!! Utter bottle jobs.

Do people still not realise Trippier checked out 13 months ago.

Should have thrown everything at Khuzanov, we have the slowest backline in the league
