Miley, Pope, And Willock Start Against Nottingham Forest

Newcastle’s form has dipped a bit after a rousing run of victories. They must again atone for a disappointing thrashing, this time at the hands of the reigning champions Manchester City. A win today at home against upstarts Nottingham Forest will help quell any fears of a downward spiral.

Forest have been sensational this term sitting third in the Premier League. Their ascent has been aided by former Magpies Chris Wood, Elliot Anderson, and Matz Sels in goal. They will stay third no matter today’s outcome.

A win for Newcastle will have them leap from eighth in the league table to fifth. Three points could prove vital with a trip to Anfield looming midweek before a fifth round FA Cup tie against Brighton next weekend.

This is who Eddie Howe has named for this ultra-important clash. It has a slew of changes from the drubbing at the Etihad.

Here is who Nuno Espirto Santo has selected for the visitors with Anderson returning to St. James’ Park.

Howay The Lads!

This is the best I’ve seen Willock play this season he’s been crucial for so many moves today just want him to do this more often

Miley also been immense in possession

It’s funny how everyone was concerned about midfield but it looks fresh and exciting

Excellent first half bar the goal we gave them and the nervousness Murphy showed shortly after. Could have been 6 or more.

Forest showing nothing really. Hopefully this is the stumble that may have predicted, especially with their next two matches being Arsenal and City.

Lastly, Sels isn’t wasting time on goal kicks anymore, is me?
