Newcastle face Brighton in an FA Cup fifth round tie at St. James’ Park today. The Magpies will hope to continue a second domestic cup journey with a win. Newcastle have a date at Wembley for the Carabao Cup finals against Liverpool in two weeks.
Newcastle are coming off a defeat at Anfield in mid-week. However, they were without star striker Alexander Isak who returns today along with midfielder Joelinton. Newcastle are close to being at full strength.
This is the team Eddie Howe has selected with quite a few changes.

Comment #163In true Newcastle fashion we’ve managed to fluff the cup final before we’ve even played it

Comment #182Because of the lack of transfer activity.. we have players not being pushed to keep their place.. and the ones off the bench thoroughly doisinterested because they know they are not good enough.
Willock and WIlson need to show their mettle here. Both havent done anything of note. Except Willock leaving an open header 3 yards out.

Comment #183I had hoped the striker change would have been the other way around. But let’s hope Wilson can pay back 12 months out.

Comment #184Jeez the trails and tribulations of being an Newcastle fan, we certainly don`t make it easy for ourselves in reference to the Gordon incident, on the positive side a great chance for Barnes to step up to the plate.
