Burn, Pope, And Tonali Start In Carabao Cup Final

The time has arrived for the second Carabao Cup final since Eddie Howe was appointed manager. The Magpies take on runaway league leaders Liverpool for a chance at their first trophy in over half a century.

This is the team Eddie Howe has named for today’s final at Wembley.

Here is who Arne Slot has selected for Liverpool.

Hopefully Pope won’t be caught with the ball at his feet after being selected. We will get chances on the break today, let’s hope we can take them and be solid in defence.

I see Sean Neave in again. They must really rate this kid (only 17). I can’t see him coming on over Wilson or Osula, however they’re doing this for a reason.

Personally I thought Dubravka would have started over pope and Willock over Barnes. But a very good line up with options on the bench.

As long as the team give their all, we can’t ask for anything more. What will be, will be. Just no dubious decisions against us or a mistake from one of the players.

RH… Defo long gone, never heard of it I’m afraid.
I did have a bit crack with Chris Mcmenemy once, ex toon coach and Lawrie’s son. Had to collect a cheque off him from a fundraiser when I was in the Bomberos voluntarios here.
Lawrie was actually me grandads cousin.

Lesh there is an Irish bar here, haven’t been for years though. Tbh I don’t frequent the places where only Brits and/or Irish people frequent. I live here to mix with everyone, those that only want to socialise with English speakers isn’t my scene really…which is surprising cos my Spanish is terrible 😆
There was another bar in the port called The 32 (Irish counties I assume) but the owner looked dirty as did the place so never went in, neither did anyone else I think as I believe it’s shut now. Won’t have helped opening opposite from a great tapas place called Tal Cual.

Even though Targett is better defender he doesnt deserve to start final so back 4 is fine although livra cuts back on right foot like almiron on right side could be issue.

    Bruno tonali willock
    Murphy isak joelinton

Would have been a fairer mid.forward line. What has barnes done to get in final line up

Nervous for this. Barnes needs to impact the game in place of Gordon. Take some pressure off Isak

We have to get Isak in game with the right balls. 50 yard passes with back to goal and VVD will eat him for tea. We need him running at back 4 thirty yards out

That Liverpool back four might be their undoing (hopefully). Van dijk is not a good defender any longer. Konate is not 100%. Quansah is not a fullback.

newcastle are still the underdog here. mo Salah has an argument for best player in the world currently
