Burn, Pope, And Tonali Start In Carabao Cup Final

The time has arrived for the second Carabao Cup final since Eddie Howe was appointed manager. The Magpies take on runaway league leaders Liverpool for a chance at their first trophy in over half a century.

This is the team Eddie Howe has named for today’s final at Wembley.

Here is who Arne Slot has selected for Liverpool.

Howay The Lads!

Like the demise of the British pub, everyone will have their own different reason sd to why so many have closed and why they’ve closed so rapidly, and I guess every different reason is right. I think a few different reasons have contributed to the blogs demise and people will have a few more on top of that.

As Mark Twain once, reportedly, said “The reports of the blogs demise are greatly exaggerated.” 🙂

    Bills,

I’d be very sorry to lose your posts should this blog finish! I’ve always found what you have to say as very interesting and positive! I still hope to get up to Morpeth one of these Fridays to meet you and have a good “Chinwag” about Newcastle United stuff. 😀

    Davas,
Mark Twain unfortunately is about 150 years out of date with today’s current affairs and has no bearing on tte 21st century or the blog for that matter.

Can’t see the team for tonight being any different to the team that started against Liverpool

    Davas,
Nope, he’d be saddened with the drop off in comments and would have penned some adventures featuring Huckleberry Jib.

Still Hard to believe poor aul Lesh is gone! I didn’t think he was in his 70’s

On a happier note it’s great to have the matches back.

    Evening Folks

On the subject of missing bloggers, i noticed Mund had not been posting for quite a while, so i decided to text him last night, and got a reply from the young man this morning, happy to report he is doing fine, and has just been riding the wave, and been on a real high and has been celebrating the last few weeks, i suspect he will return to the blog again in the near future.

I’m not sure I’d gonso far as the demise of the blog. There were plenty of comments about the last game and the parade but it’s been 2 and a half weeks since the last game. It always struggled in international breaks.
Even discord went quiet at times before I left

Evening all, Hope all is well, along with Lesh, had a few close people visiting them Pearly Gates etc…. never mind in my case it’s an age thing….. anyway the lads back in action tonight , tough game, think we will will 2-1, fingers crossed, I think we will be up for it, imo. Exciting months ahead folks, let’s just enjoy……. I agree once the Blog closes I think I will hang up my boots instead of moving to Discord etc….. BUT you never know, lol. I have never met any posters on here, but I really hope the likes of Hibbitt, Carltoon and Mund are fine and well. Strange to say, but it’s like checking on family members on their health and circumstances. Enjoy the match Lads & Lasses whatever the result, as you all know Silverware is Now our middle name ! Cheers. GWH
