Barnes, Burn, And Tonali Start At Leicester City

Newcastle have a golden opportunity to continue their momentum with a trip to 19th-placed Leicester City tonight. The lads can climb back to fifth place with a victory while having a match in hand on their competitors.

Eddie Howe has kept the same lineup that downed Brentford last week.

This is the team Foxes boss Ruud van Nistelrooy has named.

Howay The Lads!

So, merson lawrenson satton all predicting the same result: 2-0.

    That straightforward, that easy?

Only a few years ago most people – you too Jail my good man, you see I remember! 😉 – were absolutely thrilled with a defensive draw Vs that lot, now it’s a given we’ll win!

    Hope so!

Come on lads, for wor Eddie!

Even the biased Man Utd media over here are running with the story they will rest players today, there is speculation Bruno Fernandes will be rested, he is actually their best player by a country mile.

One Man Utd player i think might start today is Luke Shaw, he has been on the bench recently, so they might see today as a good opportunity to give him a run out.

On the game today, it would be absolutely tremendous to give them one hell of a beating, but offer me a 1-0 victory now and i would be a very very happy man.

Afternoon All from a sunny and breezy Newcastle, just came in after watching my grandson final league game of the season, needed to win to win the league, unfortunately got beat 3-1 at Whitley Bay, But my grandson was great, saved two penalties and stopped at least five certain goals, was magnificent, man of the match…… but they finished runners up, never mind, feeling really good about the match today, Issac will surely be the top man today, goals in him, fancy Gordon to come on and score the third for us, imo 3-0, Hope Eddie is recovering well, also worrying regarding Hibbitt who always posts about going into Town for the match etc…. Hope all is well. Enjoy the day lads and lasses. Cheers GWH

“”Howe’s unexpected dash to the hospital is reportedly just a precautionary measure, with Newcastle’s medics on the ball addressing any niggles about their gaffer’s wellbeing. The Toon boss is now awaiting the thumbs up from further tests before he jumps back into the Premier League fray.”” Daily Mail

Afternoon marra, i can see your immensely proud of your grandson, and with good reason after him saving two penalties, and getting man of the match, it`s just disappointing they didn`t manage to go on to win the league mate, as they say you can`t win them all.

Always look forward to your positive and interesting posts fella, i trust you and the family are all very well young man.

At the time Fray said that no one knew what was wrong with Eddie or how serious it was, so yes I would say it was a pretty shitty remark to make.

    Ipswich 1-0 up

Big game today, as they all are from here on in.
Everything’s in our own hands as it stands, hopefully it remains the case later today.
Need to keep any emotions in check over the gaffer or the ’95 yr win double’ record, and just do a sound professional job on them… Sure it’s what Eddie’s thoughts will be.

    3-0 the toon

Cheers Magic, all is well here, thanks, aye he,s a very good young keeper, just had county trials last week reminds me of a very young Shay Given, not tall but very agile, good with his feet and brave, we,ll see. Also for your sake, hope we beat the Mancs as well. Cheers GWH

If he turns out even half as good as Wor Shay, you will be one very proud and happy man mate. On the game today, i just want us to perform to our true potential, and if we do that we should accomplish the desired result mate.

But i have my rosary beads and holy water on standby, just in case we might need some divine intervention 😀 😀

We’re so much better than this overpaid bunch of primadonnas and bottlers who represent a club that sold its soul years ago and has shamelessly exploited unfair loopholes in FFP and PSR to bankroll the draining and manipulation of young talent, aka Chelsea. The “audience” who turn up at their spiritless den of iniquity are booing at half-time because they’re starting to realise that money doesn’t guarantee success.

God, I hope we just get the points at the end of the season to show them what it’s like when a club works for a Champions League place rather than trying to buy one.
