Barnes, Burn, And Tonali Start At Leicester City

Newcastle have a golden opportunity to continue their momentum with a trip to 19th-placed Leicester City tonight. The lads can climb back to fifth place with a victory while having a match in hand on their competitors.

Eddie Howe has kept the same lineup that downed Brentford last week.

This is the team Foxes boss Ruud van Nistelrooy has named.

Howay The Lads!

Murphy really gets through so much donky work off the ball, players of that ilk are so invaluable to any team, and just as i speak it`s Harvey Barnes, back of the net. It gives Eddie the perfect opportunity to ring the changes in the second half, if he should wish.

I’d like to see more control tbh. Very scrappy game.

Leicester are definitely the worst team we’ve played this season apart from Liverpool in the Carabao Cup final !!

Joking aside, they’re so poor and we’re nowhere near our best. Isak isn’t sharp, perhaps needs to be subbed second half.

For the want of some slightly more decisive passes and we could be 6 up which is where we need to be 2nd half and some more

How about Osulu mid 2nd half. He’ll tear a strip of their defence and there’ll be loads of loose balls flying around off him for Murphy and the like to bounce on

We need 6 or 7 at least to get out GD up to the mark..

Kuol gets 2 goals and 2 assists in that U21’s win.
His confidence will be growing now.

Give Isak 15 and save him for the weekend. Osula should come on to chase their back line.
Wilson gives us nothing more than a jog

This game is made for Willock to come on with his pace. A shame he’s out because of the concussion injury in the last game.
Surely Isak has to be rested for the second half. If not, then it speaks volumes for the confidence Howe now has in Wilson.

I must agree with fellow bloggers as Leicester really are abysmal, one of the worst teams i`ve ever seen in the premier league.

Newcastle are only playing in second gear at the moment, a few subs can give us a bit more impetus as the game is clearly over as a contest.

How can we say not playing osula is a good strategy for his development?

I have a weird feeling manure are going to play well and beat us next weekend I hope I’m wrong. But our performances Liverpool aside have been average enough in my opinion.
