Barnes, Schar, And Willock Start Against Ipswich

Newcastle hope for a rebound today against Ipswich Town at St. James’ Park. The lads fell to Aston Villa last weekend after claiming 6 straight victories and reaching third in the Premier League table.

The match marks the return of Eddie Howe, who missed the previous three matches with pneumonia. A win in this ultra-critical fixture would thrust Newcastle back into place and in a great position with four matches remaining.

This is the team Eddie Howe has chosen with Joe Willock in for Joelinton, who misses out with a reported minor knee injury. Sven Botman also returns to the squad after a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

Here is who Kieran McKenna has named for Ipswich with potential summer target Liam Delap starting.

Howay The Lads!

I don’t want to see much of Delap today. He can show what he can when they play other teams, but not against us

How are Chelsea so high up the table. Every time I watch them they look really poor. Mind you I haven’t really watched all of this

Can we not just have rotation without an injury making it happen ?

Little Joe should’ve came in a few games ago for Joelinton but because we ran him into the ground 3 games in 6 days I guess injured today?

Lessons defo need learned for next season

    Must win game today.
Chelsea is must win as well.
Big Joe is a big loss. Not a fan of Willock.
    What will be will be.
3 nil. But it could be anything. We have to hope the team finds its legs. We should still win even if we are poor

    @Davas

Chelsea are being restricted by their manager it’s the only reason they aren’t clear in the top 4 already as they should be there for the money spent

They just seem to have enough quality to sneak out wins

The game against us huge they prefer teams to press them high so they can counter so with our slow defence it’s going to be a risk to play our usual way

We need to put some goals on them today. It could go down to goal difference and we are similar to Chelsea and Forest on that score

We will lose to arsenal so need to win 3 out of the other 4 including today.

Chelsea and Forest play each other end of season. Chelsea have liverpool to play.

Think 3 wins does it tbh

It should have been a goal, but looking back at it I can see why they didn’t give it. Bruno 100% knew what he was doing there, turning his back to block the keeper collecting the ball.

This is what I’ve been saying about us needing a better midfielder to sit on the bench. Willock, Longstaff and miley aren’t up to it. We’re noticeably weaker when either of those 3 play when our first 3 are out.

Don’t know where the real isak has been the last 4 games. He’s non existent in open play and his shooting boots must be lost.
