Barnes, Schar, And Willock Start Against Ipswich

Newcastle hope for a rebound today against Ipswich Town at St. James’ Park. The lads fell to Aston Villa last weekend after claiming 6 straight victories and reaching third in the Premier League table.

The match marks the return of Eddie Howe, who missed the previous three matches with pneumonia. A win in this ultra-critical fixture would thrust Newcastle back into place and in a great position with four matches remaining.

This is the team Eddie Howe has chosen with Joe Willock in for Joelinton, who misses out with a reported minor knee injury. Sven Botman also returns to the squad after a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

Here is who Kieran McKenna has named for Ipswich with potential summer target Liam Delap starting.

Howay The Lads!

This could be huge, this might be that 10% we need to score now there down to 10

Rod, I think you only see goals

Isak was mint in the Man U Game and against Palace he could have easily got another goal if the keeper hadn’t of made two good saves

Isak is fine, just people expect him to score worldies every game

Looks like he trusted to buy one. But why would he dive in that position

maybe the worst 45 minutes of reffing decisions I’ve seen in the EPL for quite a while. both teams have reason to be upset with him

It’s soft, does look like he dived, but he’d be mental to dive in that position, so it’s more likely it affected his balance in a way that we cabt see on camera.

3 points are all that matters but we need to inject more openings, could be a good game for Gordon second half

Disallowed goal should of stood their defender pushed Bruno who definitely didn’t foul

I think we need to get wilson on to play fox in the box with all them crosses. Surely against 10 men we could take off a mid drop isak deep and play wilson up top 4231.

Later take a defender off go 3412 or sumat

We have to avoid getting too niggled and fouling back in the second half. Ipswich are trying to drag this game down into a scrap and we can’t let them.
I can only imagine what Joelinton would have been doing had he been on the pitch first half – he wouldn’t have been backing down

    Terrible half of refereeing.

Must be the record for crosses in one half.

Need to rack up a cricket score.

Delap should be signed up, kid will be a great player in time. Has pace an all.
    Like him a lot me.

Bruno & Tonali doing a great job shielding. Willock is not really involved, we could swap him out and play to up top.

We need a proper quality midfielder to rotate with the three regulars.
Take one of them out the midfield and it is very noticeable.
